Just posted on Harrogate fb page
Or I’m absolutely heartbroken ‘can’t believe the bench under the tunnel of the hydro has gone . Does anyone no why or when it was removed iv so many lovely memories I sat on that bench over 20 odd year ago even signed my name on it which I remember so clearly whilst drinking my Stella 😞 my children’s initial’s were on there they took so much effort and time to do it even put lovely flower pots at each side of the bench , it was always a great place to go take a seat and think your worries away a 2 min walk from our home . Gutted I never got the chance to let my beautiful grandkids sign there initials absolutely ruined my day
Maybe they took it down because you kept of forking drawing on it.

It's not just me, there's been a reply
It is sad that your grandchildren can’t vandalise a bench as you and your children did for sure

Anything which uses the word "Fred" instead of "Thread" can do one.

Canada brewery apologises for 'Huruhuru' Maori beer name

A Canadian brewery has apologised for unwittingly naming one of its beers after a Maori word that is commonly used to mean pubic hair.

Hell's Basement Brewery in Alberta said it released its Huruhuru pale ale two years ago, thinking it meant "feather".

But Maori TV personality Te Hamua Nikora pointed out the common interpretation of the word in a Facebook video.

The brewery's founder said the product would now be rebranded.

I can see why they'd change the name, but why are they apologising? And to whom?

How to have sex while managing the risk of COVID-19

Sex tips

Not kissing, wearing a face mask during sex and favouring positions where you’re not face-to-face may also help and using condoms or dams for blow jobs and rimming will further reduce the risk.

Hedgehogs

I've got a regular visitor now to my front garden, bought proper hedgehog food and using a small plant pot tray. They're fattening up to prepare for winter.

You can put out wet cat/dog food or I bought this stuff which is getting eaten but there's quite a few varieties. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Extra-Select-H ... 04&sr=8-20
Don't put down milk and bread

Also shallow trays of water are good too.

And if you've got a suitable garden space it's easy to do a little hoghut for them to winter in.

Made this today turned out amazing, sent it to my vegan Dad so thought I'd share.

500gm frozen peas
4 small red onions
2 garlic cloves
Garlic oil or garlic butter
1/3 to ½ celery
Half packet of rocket
Half head broccoli
Tin butter beans
Salt & pepper
stock

Lightly fry onions in garlic oil or butter
At end add chopped garlic cloves for 2 mins
Add chopped broccoli and celery for a few mins keep stirring
Add frozen peas
Add stock till veg covered
Add butter beans
Lightly cook for 20 mins ish
5 mins before end add rocket
Blitz with hand blender

I also made a basil drizzle that really worked.
Basil leaves
Basil oil
Salt
Parmesan

Peas have a nice fresh taste that really works with other veg.

Eric Joyce posting on twitter about politics as if the world doesn't know. Yes he's entitled to but forking hell that's shameless.
On 6 November 2018, Joyce was arrested and charged with making an indecent photograph of a child. He was given unconditional bail.[52]

On 7 July 2020, Joyce pleaded guilty at Ipswich Crown Court to making a Category-A indecent film of a child said to be 12 months old, between 7 August 2013 and 6 November 2018. Joyce has been ordered to sign the sex offenders register with the offence crossing the custody threshold. The Judge at the trial told Joyce that due to the seriousness of the crime he was facing a custodial sentence.[53]

On 7 August 2020 he was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for two years, and also ordered to perform 150 hours of community service.[54]

Vladimir Putin wins Great Russian Bake-off after other contestants fall ill

Vladimir Putin has won the Russian version of Celebrity Great British Bake-off after all the other contestants sadly died in tragic but mysterious circumstances.

Mr Putin started competing in the latest series in January this year. Over the course of the show he has baked sweet buns, four-corner kulebiaka, king vatrushka and liver pirozhki.

Last week’s final brought a close to a tumultuous series.

In week 4 Mr Putin was told he was in the drop zone by head judge and famed baker of black bread, Paul Khabarovsk.

Week 5 saw the unprecedented introduction of a a new judging panel following the deaths of the old panel in a freak accident when they were mistakenly locked in the back of a van with a hungry bear.

The final began with contestants baking kulebiakas arkhangelsk style. However, the round was cut short after contestant and bookies favourite Anna Tefi accidentally cut her hands off whilst making a meringue base for her pavlova.

The show stopper saw contestants baking sauerkraut pie. The round had just got underway when the remaining finalist, Konstantin Konstantan, accidentally shut his head in the gas oven whilst trying to turn it on.

This left Mr Putin to be crowned champion, an honour he graciously accepted by stripping to the waist and beating his chest.

One Kremlin watcher told us, “Celebrity Great Russian Bake Off is one of the most watched shows in Russia. Mr Putin was obviously trying to broaden his appeal to a key voter demographic.”

The females, like those featured in the video above, will grow to six feet long whereas the males will only grow to a max length of less than an inch!
More info and longer video here https://marinemadness.blog/2019/06/13/a ... w-octopus/
Males will die almost immediately after mating after losing one of its arms and a significant amount of energy and a similar fate awaits the females after they have laid their eggs and fertilized them. It shows us just how important passing on their own genes to the next generation is to them that they are literally willing to die to do it.
