Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Yeah, happy to accept I may be misjudging things having been there. Leicester's defence was superb in the first half, but for midfield.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Leinster are all about soft offloads to create space and soft shoulders. Anyway, finished my review. Leinster management will be delighted with Byrne's performance, although a few average kicks from hand will mark him down and a couple of errors when he was trying stuff on with the game won. We mad...

Do they normally offload quite so much? I thought the first half was a little bit loose.

Re: Clarksons farm
I'll bet the farmers who liked season 1, are now thinking to themselves how they've/would hate to deal with a nob end like him this season ! As the well worn saying goes; "Good fences make for Good neighbours !" The utterly incompetent way he introduced cattle to his farm, just shows him ...

BERNOL RATINGS - Ramos 3 - Moefana 4 - Ntamack 4 - Alldritt 4 (not sure how he gets the same as Ntamack. Whilst he was way too quiet, nowhere near as many foul ups as Ntamack. - Willemse 3 - Atonio 4 With those performances, the result really wasn't being contested. For those in France, the score i...

For fuck sake that’s JGP, Healy and Sheehan all out with a hammer injury - that’s suss as fuck Sheehan has been overplayed due to Kelleher's injuries and Cronin and Tracey retiring. Just catching up with the weekend news from home and I come across Michael Cawley's misadventures in Italy and the subsequent fallout. There was a massive amount of 'Ryanair' hubris attached to his decision to holiday abroad in the middle of a national emergency while holding the chair of our natio...

I'd rather be shot than spend my evening there in normal circumstances. Grumpy old fucker I'm all for a rake of pints and talking absolute nonsense with my friends, but the barman dancing around standing on the bar while feeding shots to customers while everyone screams out Mr Brightside? Yeah, nah...

Who's this Locke Lamora chap, btw? Scott Lynch can go and do one for not finishing that series. I was about to ask if the books are any good, but then remembered my vow to never start another unfinished sci-fi/fantasy series again, at the very least until Rothfuss gets his arse in gear and releases...

Significant jump in community transmission today. Up to 13. I was hoping the increases were down to a few clusters skewing the numbers  Seems to be a bit of both. Town has been unbelievably busy - during the day - all of this week. People are clearly bored and listless and eager to do somethin...

Re: NAMA NAMA NAMA
Don't really agree. Airbnb pushes rent up doubly. First by reducing stock and then when landlords realise how much more money they can get with airbnb. The measures here should help both of those issues. Certainly the rentals that I know of near me wouldn't be classified as houses no one else would...

I see the mayor of Lisbon intends to ban AirBnB from the city after the Covid crisis is over. Meaningless piffle. The issue (everywhere) is poor enforcement of planning regimes. AirBnB offers a good service but everywhere you go there are local governments failing to react quickly enough to its exi...

https://www.thejournal.ie/half-of-restaurants-could-close-without-speedy-aid-industry-warns-5137610-Jun2020/ Surely it's not in landlords interests to push for full rent? A hell of a lot of landlords are leveraged quite highly. Institutional landlords are usually unwilling to compromise unless they...

I was enjoying TB's impressions of TLOU2. Was looking forward to good thoughts on the end. Just rage-quit the Witcher 3 for the first time. Playing one of Ciri's flashback levels on NG+ and it's obnoxiously difficult, like they didn't scale the difficulty correctly. Keep getting one shotted ...
