Re: Not Italy Again

You could bet your house that if an Italian player had just done what Marchant did it would have been a yellow. It should have been I thought it was quite unlucky. The ball was out. I agree though, Italy player would have been given a yellow. But they have already given away more penalties I guess.

It's entertaining enough. If it was Farell and England forwards just pick and driving to 28-0 I'd agree, but this kind of rugby is not boring to watch at least.

Re: Pasta with frog legs

I think Italy look much better than since several years. Losing by 27 points against France in their home stadium is not so bad. I was watching a Squidge Rugby video, he gave some interesting stats on the Italy youth teams performances over the years. U20s are now maybe 3/4th best team and U18s are ...

Re: The Official English Rugby Thread

It's been obvious to many that there is something very wrong with Eddie Jones for a long time now. There are psychological flaws that manifest themselves over long and short time-frames. I've been reading some of his most recent book, written in the period after RWC19 and it's full of revisionism. ...

Pop on a mask for the 0.3% of your day that you are in a shop or on the bus. There we go, that wasn’t too difficult was it? It's also pointless, if it's a surgical/cloth mask. It's worrying that Governments have implemented these policies without solid evidence. In Germany at least they require FFP...

Re: So, coronavirus...

I don't believe they offer 20-50% protection, because of two reasons: a) The RCTs performed in Bangladesh and Denmark (with cloth/surgical masks) found very little effect. b) No country that is extremely strict on wearing masks (Spain, for example) has done much better than kind of similar countries...

FFP3 masks - almost 100% effective at stopping the wearer catching Covid from airborne transmission. FFP2 masks - only slightly less effective than FFP3. Main difference is that there's not as tight a seal. Surgical masks - almost completely ineffective at stopping airborne transmission (which is th...

A lockdown will have exactly the opposite effect of the virus "burning out”. You will lower transmission during lockdown which will then shoot up afterwards, in effect prolonging the overall wave. This. Lockdowns should only ever be considered if the health system is about to completely collap...

I have no idea why you think I'm a conspiracy theorist. I'm vaccinated, I wear a mask in places where it's required (when I don't forget).

Ignoring that 65% of Covid admissions in London are people who are in hospital for reasons that are not Covid, means you can't look honestly at the data.

Roc Nation are an agency for 'raising athletes profiles'. They don't care about rugby, they care about getting their clients as much exposure as possible. I do worry that they're a front organisation to a coup by American private equity. They'll hire Kolisi, Farrell, etc, and make the players union ...
