Re: The Official Rygbi Cymru Thread

Not wishing to reopen the wounds that won't have healed but anyway - I've seen Wales lose plenty of matches over the years but I'm pushed to remember one that had such a dramatic late turnaround against us. That one V South Africa is the only one I can think of. We were 13 points up with 9 minutes ...

Re: 6 nations 2021 Scrum down in the lockdown

Anyone want to tell me why pretty much every side has saved its best performance for France? Maybe one could argue Ire were better against Eng but I think that was exaggerated by how poor Eng were. I think we played better against England. Completely bossed them in the last 20 minutes wherea...

Re: The end of budget flights (hopefully)

Because restricting travel to just the wealthy is taking us backwards. Why should poor people have to sit it out while businesses fly people across the Atlantic 10 times a year to sit in a meeting they could do on the phone? Or millionaires fly privately while tweeting about climate change. If you ...

Re: The end of budget flights (hopefully)

Tough. Again, why should the rest of the planet subsidise their position? Anyway, this moves through cycles as budgets, tastes and trends alter regardless of cheap flight availability. On the one hand you're advocating living like peasants from the middle ages because burning CO2 is harming people ...

Re: The end of budget flights (hopefully)

Budget flights allow families and individuals on low incomes to visit places they wouldn't otherwise be able to visit, quite snobby wishing this away when these people are likely to have far lower per capita emissions than the population as a whole. You will not get democratic consent for green ref...

Re: The end of budget flights (hopefully)

At the other end of the line, what about the locations that rely heavily on tourism? Tough. Again, why should the rest of the planet subsidise their position? Anyway, this moves through cycles as budgets, tastes and trends alter regardless of cheap flight availability. On the one hand you're advoca...

Re: Another Grand Slam.

If Wales win the Grand Slam, fair play to them. Great achievement, as with their previous ones; this one all the more so for being so unexpected. The title of the OP made me think that Grand Slams feel much more common these days than when I were a kid. Do any stattos know if that's true? If so, it...

Re: Nervous Women.

Kids are oversensitive to this sort of thing. I developed a wicked case of Social Phobia that was tracked, in therapy back to my mum getting very worked up before she went for meals in restaurants. She was a bundle of stress and anxiety all day long, before meals, and that rubbed off on me..watchin...

Re: I find myself here from The Forum365

The F365 Rugby Forum is an abysmal failure So is PR. I've given up on the place. The adverts popping up everywhere makes it borderline unusable. but what makes it unreadable is that a few tedious eejits take over any thread of any promise with slanging matches, usually on nationalistic/sectarian li...

Re: The Official Rygbi Cymru Thread

Hello. Is there anybody here who DOESN'T think we'll beat France? It doesn’t seem to be our pattern to lose slam matches. No reason why we can’t take this game too. Yeah that's why I'm feeling so overconfident. 4 Grand Slam matches in the 6 nations, all have resulted in emphatic wins. Thinking abou...

Re: The Official Scottish Rugby Thread

I think mentality is the issue. When I look at Ireland and Wales I generally see players who are not that much more capable than us. But I do see lads that are hard as nails who you would want with you in the trenches. By contrast, Scotland, with the exception of Watson and Hogg look like rear eche...
