Re: 6 Nations Team of the Tournament
Dupont had a decent tournament... Looked great against the weaker teams at the end. He's not a serious contender this year. Still a great player though.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Seems to be a lot of buthurt Welsh fans about the Lowe try. I was amazed that it was given, but can understand it on the basis of the question asked/on-field decision. It had no impact on the result, and we we done by a bad non-decision ourselves, so meh. The Wales situation is a funny one... They ...

Some stats that speak for themselves: Tackles France 271 Ireland 186 Doris: 115m gained Penaud: 134m gained Doris is a machine. Some turn around from the old days when Ireland would blow themselves out after 60 mins, now we are the fittest. Happy to see our scrum hold up against the behemots. Still...

Whilst he was way too quiet, nowhere near as many foul ups as Ntamack. - Willemse 3 - Atonio 4 With those performances, the result really wasn't being contested. For those in France, the score i...

Does anyone know any stuff similar to Devil's Spoke by Laura Marling? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDJPRRUH07k It's sort of sinister folk music I guess. The minutiae of genres like metalcore are more my forte, so I don't really know where to start looking for this. She's got a few other similar ...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
I can’t remember an Irish bench with as much impact as this one . Apart from Ross Byrne they’ll all bring speed or huge physicality. Sheehan’s absence will be felt though , no getting around that. Despite his lack of game time/fitness there's something mildly reassuring about seeing Kelleher's name...

You get the impression from those calls that eventually, at some stage, the entire Russian war effort is just going to grind to a halt. They'll find the people from somewhere but the food, the vehicles etc that are needed to keep an army going are just going to run out.

One game to go : Leinster lead on 62 points. Second, third and fourth on 56 points. Fifth 55 points. Sixth 53 points. Seventh and eighth 50 points. The word that would strike me is, competitive, rather than weak. That would be correct. While it may not have been true in the past, the addition of th...

Never has been. It's the "price" that is paid for having a competitive domestic comp. The pay off is exactly that: T14 and GP are far bigger commercial draws. URC, like all its predecessors, is sh*te watched by one man and his sheep. The Irish have found a formula that works for them in t...

I'd also question how many commentators here have cast even a casual glance at the URC league table. I think the sides placed 2,3,4 are all on the same points with 5,6 two points down. Doesn't get much closer than that.

The amount of whining in this thread is embarrassing. An Irish team hasn't won the thing in five years. There were 3 French teams in the semi finals, Toulouse have won it more times than anyone... But it's just not fair because... Eh Ireland?

Re: Heineken Champions/Challenge Cup 2022 Semi-Finals Weekend
It's not really magnificent is it. And flying for 12 hours down to South Africa to play with jetlag in the African summer won't make it any easier for English and French teams that have domestic league matches a few days after they fly 12 hours back will it. It's a dog's breakfast. And the URC team...

Aye it definitely niggles (and then some) but I don’t remember many close games in the last decade + Really? You'd have won in 2020 if Hogg hadn't dropped the ball over the line instead of grounding it..... The 'Bar Napoli Six' had better hope there's no more of that or there'll be fingers pointed

Yeah, they really gouge you on the price. It's pure 'nostalgia' tax.
Although I'll play it with my kid when he's old enough so I should get good use out of it...and I've been watching a load of YouTube videos on painting the miniatures so it'll kind of be a hobby doing it up over the next few months.
