Re: Saudi/Qatar et al bidding for RWC

Kiwi world cup was significantly lower spec. Enjoy your world cups in shithole countries that don't give a shite about rugby.... Yeah, honestly the more I think about it the more it pisses me off that the Saudis might end up hosting a RWC before Argentina or Italy and before South Africa gets a sec...

Re: Saudi/Qatar et al bidding for RWC

Spain and Portugal would be great and bring up two countries who will contribute for decades. I am still a fan of Italy getting one, or if you want to go off the wall, Germany would be great hosts also. And I know that US is hosting in 2031, but a more deserving country versus Middle East would be ...

Saudi/Qatar et al bidding for RWC

Has there been a thread on this?

It was only a matter of time. Inevitably they are trying to get their hands on the RWC and I'm sure for the right price their bid will succeed.

Honestly, I probably would not watch the RWC if it ends up there. It has no connection to the sport whatsoever.

Argentina won HK for the first time and sit atop the table. They are a serious force in 7s these days, they destroyed everyone in the pool stages.

Anyone know what's going on with Pasilio Tosi? he hasn't been named in a Canes game-day squad for a few weeks now, but he hasn't been listed as injured either. That's one thing that Super rugby could improve upon. There are obviously four reasons why players are out, long term, season ending/curtai...

Yeah, injuries have really derailed Blues season, plus losing Akira. No Riccitelli and no news on BBs return. I'm hoping they can put a run together and make a low seed because I hate to see a championship poorly defended like this. Yep, would be great to see them playing better. I don't think the ...

As forecast by Guy - O'Connor with the start for Saders this week. Ethan Blackadder back, Sevu Reece rotated out of the team.

Looks like the Chiefs are living their best lives in Hong Kong during the bye week.

You think the Blues can turn it around after the bye week? No idea tbh. Their round 8 opponents the Canes are coming off their own bye this week, so it'll be interesting to see if there's any rust against the Tahs. I'm very hot and cold on the Lions tbh so I can see where PB is coming from but the Wallabies test match series tend to deliver.

Even though it is the series with the least tradition behind it I think it's my favourite of the three.

Interview with Razor & Mark Robinson. Not a lot to be gleaned here but my main takeaway is that Robinson seems very optimist about the state of the international game and the direction rugby is heading. Seemingly not too perturbed about the loss of INEOS sponsorship. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/s...
