Re: Unacceptable Cover Versions

I guess, on reflection even a bad cover exposes the original artists music to a broader audience (or a younger generation) and those people might go down a rabbit hole and discover some good music from back in day.

Re: Unacceptable Cover Versions

Gotta say - I thought it was great cover. Not really much of a departure from the original except making it bit more alt rocky - but sounded good and a pretty amusing video.

Fair enough it's all about opinions but the original is a masterpiece. As a piece of art it's not something that ...

Someone in DC (besides Musk) is annoyed by the ANC and has told Donny about it.
Is it potentially in part due to the ANC's stance on Palestine/Israel? The Israeli lobby are very meticulous in identifying opponents and then strategically going after them.

Smooth criminal - by alien ant farm I think it was.
Sympathy for the devil by Gnr.
Anarchy in the USA by Megadeth.

It's one thing to do an all along the watchtower with a song and make it your own but covering a classic is a bit pointless imo.

Also in 1989 Zinzan used to be a courier and would come into the bank I was working in at the time... at least once a week... was always very friendly with everyone. Though not sure what he'd be like now. He was only an Auckland star at that time really.

One of the things I've wondered when you hear the "we need to import more Kazakhs to offset our elderly population" is why no-one proposes policies (economic/social) that would encourage more people to have kids.

It seems like a strangely defeatist position whereby you are coming to terms with ...

Most enjoyable moment for me: Fletcher Newell's outstanding but ultimately futile chase when Leroy Carter scored his long range try. Damn near caught the renowned speedster on the Saders 22, as well. Never knew he was that rapid.

Even though they got a hiding I love what Drua (and MP) bring to this comp.

It's great when they pan to the crowd and you see the locals who are fans of the visiting team and probably have been for years, now they get to see Soup in their own country.

BB...33 yrs old

DMac.... 30 yrs old.

RWC... 2 yrs

Good points - I just looked up, Carter was 33 in 2015, so Beaudy would be the oldest AB FH ever at a RWC if he goes to Australia. DMac is similarly older than Fox was in 91 and Mehrts in 1999. It speaks to your point about their advanced ...

But a very poor play at the end lost the Highlanders this match. Some are the NZ SR teams first are a bit limited.
