Re: Stop voting for fucking Tories
https://twitter.com/Telegraph/status/1560729979184300032?s=19 A winter crisis but in summer. i.e. not a crisis at all, but the new normal, with a gradual slide downwards, as NHS workers get fed up, & emigrate NHS hitting the obvious and predictable wall with its workforce. - NHS pay has fallen ...

Re: PR Weirdos
So what do you have to do to classify as a weirdo these days? Does persisting in supporting Bath count?

Re: (No) Exam Results,
As a colleague of mine quite aptly put it: Lets say you have 10 pupils who the data says could/should get an A grade. You know, based upon experience, that a few of these will not hit that mark for various reasons (topics that come up, how they are feeling on the day, misinterpreting a question etc ...

Re: (No) Exam Results,
Universities over offer assuming some will not get the grades. Most unis have allowed until Sept 7th for pupils to get upgraded. Clearing may be an issue though! Fortunately with so few foreign students this year thereaye be plenty of places for all. Oxbridge do not go through clearing so places wil...

Re: (No) Exam Results,
The whole thing is a giant shit sandwich, and for once i think the teachers are blameless here. True, the problem is not all teachers and schools will have played it with a straight bat like Pigsy - What they should have done is try to ascertain how accurate each schools predictions are historicall...

Re: (No) Exam Results,
Scarface, Sadly, I suspect he will be hit no matter what. It is rather stereotypical that boys leave it late to get going with work, so the evidence trail for them will be much weaker as of March 20th, therefore they will be further down the rankings in the CAG lists. It was not surprise that boys c...

Re: (No) Exam Results,
I know that the Cambridge alumni are collecting signatures trying to pressure Cambridge to take all offer holders. Its not just politics and morals. They also have a range of data for each applicant: GCSE grades A level (adjusted grades) Personal statement/references Aptitude test (if applicable) In...

Re: (No) Exam Results,
there was a lad on newsnight last night predicted 4As to get into cambridge for medicine. First prospect from his school ever. got downgraded and lost the place. Yep, we saw this in scotland. This will be because he is in a poor performing school with few top grades. I hope Cambridge are sensible w...

Re: (No) Exam Results,
I'm a HoD and have been analysing data the last day or so. We were careful to rank pupils (as instructed) and we benchmarked common data such as mocks and internal assessments that get repeated, so we could compare the current year group with previous year groups, and so come up with how many pupils...
