Re: Lions Squad - Who's In?

Yup. I think only Z Fagerson, Russell, DvdM and Tuipolotou are pretty much guaranteed to tour. The rest will need the team to do well in the 6N. And Jones is say. I’d say Kinghorn is fairly nailed on as well I'm not sure Jones is as appreciated as he should be. Kinghorn's a fair shout, agreed. I th...

Re: The Official Scottish Rugby Thread

Quite an awful social media reaction from a lot of the Welsh fans. A real sense of entitlement on display, shouting about how the players were an embarrassment and disgrace. It's quite clear that a lot of them are nowhere near international standard but it is what it is and I thought they fronted up...

Re: The Official Scottish Rugby Thread

I think we will always have to accept that with the resources we have we will only ever be 5th or 6th in the world. At the moment I think we are 5th as I think we would likely beat England and Argentina more than they would beat us. I think progress would be for us to get a few wins against France, ...

Re: The Official Scottish Rugby Thread

It's great that we can beat Australia well, in a game that I never really felt we were going to lose, but what a horrifically frustrating performance. They only really got their shit together in attack for 15 minutes which was luckily enough to put the game beyond doubt, but the amount of unforced e...

Re: Scotland vs Wallabies

You can brace for impact if someone is running straight at you without the ball He quite clearly raises his shoulder though. Ever so slightly turns so that contact is made with his upper arm and away from his head. It's not a tackle situation, he is the vulnerable player with someone sprinting hard...

Maybe not as bad as first seen. It's still surely a high shoulder charge, bracing himself or not.

Re: Scotland vs Wallabies

Exceptionally tough watch that I’m quite enjoying it I can see the argument it is compelling if you’re supporting one of the teams involved, as a lot of England games have been recently. But as a spectacle you’ve got Oz either kicking it either two phases or being turned over, and Scotland going th...

It’s not a ploy
I know but as soon as Kinghorn tried to power through the tackle rather than go down you knew the outcome. They should too.
Hmm, think that’s a bit harsh

I don’t view that as exactly the same as it’s not a usage of our natural resources in the same way. Once construction is completed for energy facilities, it’s substantially rent sitting for 25 years, plus maintenance. Diageo have to continuously spend money to get the resources required to operate ...

Re: Ireland vs Argentina, Autumn Internationals 2024

I'd tend to agree, if a player is sent off for contact with the head, then the player on the receiving end should be under HIA protocols. I think we should always err on the side of caution on this. If this is stringently enforced, it might also cut down on the level of simulation we are seeing. Wi...

You did notice his swollen lip yeah? Fuck sake, what do you lot not understand about the point. It would appear that...
