Re: Super Rugby 2025 Thread
O'Connor's been great value off the bench for the Saders, tbf. One stray kick-off apart, he hasn't been the problem for them tonight. MP bossing the breakdown winning lots of turnovers. Crusaders forwards need to start playing with more intensity That's where I had the Saders to win the game

Re: 2025 6N thread
Are you? In an exchange about Russell's goal kicking where at one point you refused to believe he was one of the top goal kickers in France, then having been provided with proof of it you are bemused as to its relevance? I rather think this is a case of goal post shifting on your part. You've also ...

Re: 2025 6N thread
Fair enough, Planet Rugby is a great site with fantastic journalists. I'll say it again, I don't know how any serious rugby supporter can look at the way he played in the 6N and come up with shit like that. He was brilliant V England and France, and pulled the Welsh apart until he went off. I'd exp...

My mistake, I've looked up the post and at that point in the season Finn was overall joint top points scorer and second top goal kicker in the Top 14. He finished that season in second in both categories https://all.rugby/tournament/top-14-2023/ Watching rugby must be a real exercise in misery for ...

I don't think there's a single country in the World who wouldn't bite your hand off to poach Russel as their staring 10. He's that good. But his Fre club was quite happy to off him and given the amount of money sloshing around in T14, no other Fre club picked up his contract? Hey, as a safa, ...

Last game of the weekend, very big crowd at UBB and Toulouse have picked a weakened team. What a shame. I suppose the real shoot out between these two will come much later in the season  That almost came back to haunt you. UBB are so scarred after last year's Brennus that they almost threw awa...

The amount of issues that can be resolved by blocking javascript and just enabling it for the sites that require it should not be inderestimated. https://noscript.net/ Trouble with blocking JS across the piece is it will break many sites entirely. I tend to use Greasemonkey with targeted scrip lists.

Genuinely, if you don't think Carley is shit, you've not watched him much. He is certainly the worst competence wise in the NH. Brace is simply an outright cheat. Brace doesn't deliberately cheat he is just hugely inconsistent as is Fank Murphy. I don't think Carley is anywhere near the worst, Mike...

Re: Super Rugby 2025 Thread
The Chiefs have been fined for cheating. I reckon they should have to forfeit the result. Twice in one game ( a one pointer ) is clearly premeditated. They need to get over the inferiority complex, playing wonderful sparkling rugby and still thinking in the gutter. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/...

I don't especially want to defend Mauvaka in this, if he gets an 8-16 week ban just for sheer stupidity so be it, but it does look more a head brush than but, granted more by luck than judgement. Am still seething at the crass stupidity of it. Expect it of a cretin like Haouas (blame Galthie for th...

Cards (or not) 1) Mauvaka. WTAF? Sure White went all embarrassingly wendyball (another w*nk trend on the up with Lawrence another recent culprit) but irrelevant. I don't think Ramos could have complained if he'd seen yellow for the initial push too. Whatever the extent of head contact by Mauvaka, i...

Re: Welsh rugby: the end?
Re: the old Welsh clubs, I think it’s possible to have rose tinted specs on this. People talk about these vast crowds they used to get but whenever you look it up it’s more like 2-3,000, they’re just small grounds. These are mid-sized towns at best, poor, and with zero hope of being able to compete...

Welsh rugby: the end?
In one of the ten thousand or so Terminator franchise films, someone opines about how close the human race was to going out. After Saturday, one wonders how close Welsh rugby is to the same.
