Re: The Official Scottish Rugby Thread

Also slightly disagree with the bolded bit, I think there is a massive mix of reasons and allegiances. Watson wouldn't have played for anyone else despite not being born here. As someone who grew up in England I find it really difficult to understand the motivation for anyone either born here, or e...

Re: 6 Nations: Mandatory connected Mouth Guard

I have seen some question the science behind the mouth piece. I am a bit torn. Player safety is paramount but they are adults who know have no excuse for ignorance to thr dangers so a part of me is in the camp of let them make that decision for themselves. In the game at the weekend, Fagerson was fl...

Re: The Official Scottish Rugby Thread

Saturday was an odd game really. We very nearly beat the blitz on our first attack then rarely managed to get outside it. As mentioned on the match thread I do wonder if Tuipulotu hurt his knee when the dummy runner crashed into him causing a knee on inside of knee collision. Overall I thought the ...

Re: 6 Nations Round 3 - Scotland v England

This is without watching it back, but my impression during the match that England looked to shithouse their way into the game rather than aggressively go after Scotland's lead, they chose to slow the game down and stop Scotland's momentum instead of looking to build their own. It was a negative app...

One thing that surprised me today in a pleasant way was that Cummings was the most physical second row.on the pitch for large spells. Dominant tackles and a physical presence.

Re: The Official Scottish Rugby Thread

I suspect that McDowell might start ahead of Redpath if Tuipulotu can't go. Are you sure? If that was the case, wouldn't he be on the bench ahead of Redpath today and in previous matches? I'm a fan of McDowall and I think he will have a lot to offer Scotland, but I don't see him being ahead of Redp...

Think the analysis by the TV panel is right. England are easy to defend. The one decent strike move led to a try. We still have work to do on that side of the ball.
