Re: Thar she blows!..Iceland erupts again...
Iceland is fascinating... most tectonic plate intersections involve some sort of collision with one plate sliding under or over the other. NZ is a classic example of a country on top of an intersection like that with the mountains thrust up through the force of the Pacific plate sliding under the A...

Re: Congrats Ireland 6N champs !!
Frankly it's a mediocre tournament. The participants have won 1 out of the 10 RWC. The Rugby Championship nations have won 9 out of 10 RWC. I would feel ashamed at that record, but you guys live in a world of cognitive dissonance. Your media and fans indulge in ridiculous levels of hubris convincin...

They have broadly the same earnings as the IRFU but they chose to spend it on beer money for amateur clubs, instead of resourcing the pro game properly.

For me, this is the troubling bit.
So he's putting pressure on the ref on behalf of Gatland. It's not a solo run.“Blue nine high tackle, our staff are saying it, blue nine high tackle.”

Re: 6 Nations round 5 - Ireland v Scotland
The most impressive thing about Scotland this campaign was highlighted by skipper Finn in his post match comments after both the Welsh and French games. In the former he lambasted the sheer stupidity of them giving away so many penalties in a row and the latter he refused to blame the ref and sayin...

Re: 6 Nations round 5 - Ireland v Scotland
Having seen Ireland's second try over and over again now, I am fuming. More and more, it seems like Scotland are being held to a different standard than the other teams. How is that try awarded? There's blocking, there's holding a potential tackler back, there are three Scots seemingly under the ba...

Yes and no.
Scotland didn't bring much attacking until the Jones try but they completely nullified Ireland's attacking game and showed some steel that was absent in the past.

Re: 6 Nations round 5 - Ireland v Scotland
Players should be penalised for deliberately dropping to the ground ahead of a tackle. Agreed. I had it in my mind it was already illegal but I couldn't find it in the laws. Saw (heard) a very bad injury at club level caused by ball carrier diving at the lower legs of the tackler. We heard the bone...

Ireland by 15 Ireland are like the NZ in the Dan Carter era or England 00-03 so I expect a minimum 20 point win. Anything less will be a disappointing for the champions elect. Any coverage showing Palestinians focuses on combatants or potential combatants, i.e. no women and children. IDF spokespersons feature VERY heavily. They have access to Inte...
