Just in case anyone missed it due to the unbelievable lack of coverage, Josh Taylor from Edinburgh just became Britain's first ever undisputed 4 belt world boxing champion by defeating Jose Ramirez to unify the light welterweight division in what is being described as the fight of the year.
He becomes only the fifth boxer in the history of the sport to achieve such a status.

Considering the coverage that useless scumbags like Billy Joe Saunders get in this country it is incredible to see how little fanfare this achievement in getting in the UK media this morning.

A truly remarkable lad who also gives a huge amount to his community.

Was speaking to Crash, unfortunately ex of this parish for the time being, earlier, and he mentioned rumours of his next fight possibly being at the castle.... I’d pay quite a bit to go to that

Same here, the castle would be great but I think he could sell it out many times over. He is absolutely worshipped down in Leith and Lochend where he still pops in to coach at the boxing club.

Would have loved to but unfortunately my life is still pretty much caught up with my daughter's health issues after the birth of our granddaughter for the foreseeable future. Thanks for the invite though.

Luckily it's mendable but the good lady and myself have found ourselves full time grandparents and carers for 6 months. Light at the end of the tunnel now though hopefully and I'll hold you too that invite and we can rope in a few others
