This definitely!!!
Sanderson P always came over as a complete twat!!!!
Alex has always been a graceless prick with a chip on his shoulder about Quins. He's made loads of comments about us in the past. He's also the guy who claimed that the criticism of Saracens' sustained cheating was just jealousy, so hey.

I'm sure he'll thoroughly enjoy sale thrashing Quins' 2nd XV.

Did Marchant and Green pull a short straw to start this game? Expecting an ugly scoreline if Sale put out something resembling a full strength team.

It is, though equally not necessarily a first team, with Tom Curry rested, Hammersley brought back in, Quirke and James Jr rested and RJVR, Beaumont and Tuilagi coming back from injury. Rotation, bringing through the academy players (which, twat or not, Sanderson has been very successful at) and having a relatively small squad are playing dividends. The intention is clearly to secure second, so I'd expect there to be minimal rotation from now on. It'll be interesting to see who captains when Josh and Tom both play, I'd favour the former.

Good article about Floyd Steadman, one of the pioneer 1st class black players in the 1980's and how he suffered racist abuse
During his Saracens career and appearance for Middlesex and the Barbarians he encountered racist abuse. On one occasion the then-Saracens captain Alex Keay threatened to take his team off if the referee Roger Quittenton didn’t do something to stop the abuse that Steadman and his black teammates were receiving. Playing for Middlesex, Steadman was racially abused by one of his own teammates. Crowds greeted Steadman and other black teammates with monkey chants and being stopped by police on his way home from training was a regular occurrence.

Remember playing against him a couple of times when he was coming back from injury and playing for Sarries 2's. Bloody half decent player.

Manu withdrawn. Shame, I would have liked to have seen him running at the Harlequins midfield. Will have to put up with van Rensburg instead!
Manu Tuilagi will not be featuring for Sale Sharks against Harlequins this evening after he was deemed to be close contact of a Sale Sharks staff member who has tested positive for Covid-19.
Tuilagi had been named in the starting XV by Alex Sanderson for the Premiership clash at AJ Bell Stadium, but a positive case among Sale’s backroom staff has led to the centre being withdrawn and told to self-isolate.

I don't think it's going to matter. Sale are better than Quins' first XV, let alone the 2nd XV.

Decent Sale response with McGinty's deft hands out of the tackle putting the angry warthog over.

I know injuries have held him back a bit in the past, but there were times when Rob du Preez was being selected ahead of him even when he was fit. Both he and Sale have really benefitted from Sanderson seeming to decide that he is definitively the first choice 10.

Yarde finishes off some more good work with McGinty at the heart of it. Somewhat compensates for his defensive errors that contributed to the Quins try.

50 minutes until Sale's first yellow card must be some kind of recent record?

Quins do look reasonable going forward, but Landajo is killing their momentum by doing a lot of directing at the back of the ruck instead of just whipping it away.

Landajo is awful for that in every game.

Didn't bother watching, penalty count looks pretty one sided. Hopefully we avoided injuries. I'm sure Sale didn't over celebrate or anything.

Of course, I forgot I'm somewhat older then you   Yes, I recall Ben Rudling. Cheshunt had a bloody good backline over a number of years and qualified for the Middlesex Sevens finals at least twice if I remember corerectly.

Yep - being released by Bath at end of season.

He looked top notch in his early Bath days, but just not the same after all the injuries.

That's certainly the rumour, I've not seen it confirmed yet?

Not quite sure what La Rochelle's propping stock is, recall the absolute unit that is Antonio (can't believe his first name is pronounced 'weeny') and saw a bit of Van der Merve but think they might be a bit light at tighthead with only Herrera as a both-sides-of-scrum prop as third choice? Might be good move for both parties, would assume he's on starter wages at Bath which perhaps isn't best bang for buck at the moment.
