Are we setting up for another draw? Simmonds gets this, Quins get an unconverted try...

I’d take extra time, more of this would be good

Hell of a tackle on Simmonds from Lynagh.
Not sure it would suit Quins having to go that deep two weeks on the trot, but it's definitely one of those games you don't want to end.Tichtheid wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 6:17 pmsockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 6:16 pm Are we setting up for another draw? YESSSSS!
Smith is such a little wizard to create that space and Lynagh takes it well.

Hell of a take from Lynagh, looked in danger of sailing over him and he brings it in one-handed. Crazy story for the lad. Bit part player through the season and now a huge role in the semi and final.

Oh Quins.
I really hope this doesn't giver Eexter the sliver of hope they needed. Quins have to win to show everyone you can win trophies playing all out attack.

Can only stand and applaud. The way they resurrected themselves this season and their performances in these knock outs is nothing short of fairy tale.

All too often finals are a bit crap this was the type of game you yearn for, where both teams unload their guns, fire every shot.

I doubt we'll ever get much useful information on the situation with Gustard but to make a team with that much talent play so badly says he was toxic.
To give him credit some of his recruitment has turned out well.
In the best possible way we started playing the game like a kiwi super rugby side this year, and it's just incredibly good to watch.
Was looking forward to next season but it's going to difficult to top this given everyone will be gunning for us in Europe as well as the premiership. Smart money isn't on a repeat. Who cares though, such a great advert for the game.
Very satisfying to win by beating the two best sides this season who play totally different styles of rugby too!

It would be good to think it could last staying the same but I suspect much of the motivation was as a reaction to Gustard leaving. I doubt that buzz will survive after such a huge peak is reached. Needs a reset and it all starts again in September.
Hugely impressive though.

Very few appearances in recent times, seems to very much be a squad depth player now.I like neeps wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 12:40 pm Nick Auterac was named in the Scotland squad. I presume he's not very good as a 28 year old journeyman loosehead?
What could he of interest to you guys is Ashman is in the Scotland squad but Bevan Rodd and Charlie Chapman are not.
Good to know about Rodd, although I'm not surprised. I've had the feeling he identifies more with England than Ashman does. Interesting that Ashman's been called up by anyone at all, though, he seems to be 3rd choice at Sale.
Chapman probably doesn't have an international future with England. From what I've seen of him with Glaws he's not at the same level as his equivalent aged peers like Randall or Mitchell, while there are young guys coming up behind like van Poortvliet and Quirke who look stand out already. I'd be incredibly surprised if Chapman were even in the England A squad.
As you've mentioned him, was there an expectation he might be called up for the senior Scotland team?
Agreed when he burst on the scene he was a total wrecking ball (for Bath iirc)
