Looking forward to the semis. Spain Italy ought to be a cracker, the winner will certainly be favourites to take it all.
Would see us as slight favourites over Denmark, think we've offered a bit more. That said, the emotion of playing for Eriksen and the way that they have handled themselves so far is beyond reproach. Would be gutted if they win but wouldn't begrudge them it.

Yes the Scots and Welsh have my sympathy I must say.

Denmark have been tricky opponents for England in recent times. Should be close.Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:07 am This thread was always going to go off topic at some point.

Wouldn't begrudge them if they did, but wonder if breaking down our defence then turning over (probably) Italy inside a few days might be a bit much for them in the end.sturginho wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:28 amI have a feeling that the Danes are gonna win the whole thingPaddington Bear wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:07 am This thread was always going to go off topic at some point.

Inevitable really and happens in all major tournaments. Both games need to be prime time and we'd be unimpressed about a 5 start on Tuesday.

I think England should be better than them but destiny is a powerful thing and I think it's on Denmark's side.sturginho wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:28 amI have a feeling that the Danes are gonna win the whole thingPaddington Bear wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:07 am This thread was always going to go off topic at some point.

Also, as a lot of people have pointed out, it's a very even tournament. Must say *insert English arrogance here* I had very few nerves for Ukraine but will brick it on Wednesday.robmatic wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:47 amI think England should be better than them but destiny is a powerful thing and I think it's on Denmark's side.sturginho wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:28 amI have a feeling that the Danes are gonna win the whole thingPaddington Bear wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:07 am This thread was always going to go off topic at some point.

I think England will hump them. They seem to me a much better team and I think the Danes may have spend all their emotion already.robmatic wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:47 amI think England should be better than them but destiny is a powerful thing and I think it's on Denmark's side.sturginho wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:28 amI have a feeling that the Danes are gonna win the whole thingPaddington Bear wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:07 am This thread was always going to go off topic at some point.

Also think England would beat Spain but Italy will be too much.

My last post on this, but I really don't know why Zapp doesn't step in as has been requested before. The child adds absolutely nothing but trolling and abuse, literally nothing else. Knackers one and all......
I'm wondering what a footballer did to you to make you so insecure.

They're not the Denmark of Laudrup(s) and co, but their last two results against England have been a 0-0 draw in Copenhagen and a 1-0 win at Wembley...
Yeah I saw that and was quite surprised. This England team do look a different proposition though. Although as we all know, UK sides are never a million miles away from a complete blow up.JM2K6 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 9:20 amThey're not the Denmark of Laudrup(s) and co, but their last two results against England have been a 0-0 draw in Copenhagen and a 1-0 win at Wembley...

Looking forward to the semis. England is two matches away from the title.
The problem is, if they win it, we will hear nothing but for the next 40 years until they win another trophy.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 1:13 pm Looking forward to the semis. England is two matches away from the title.

I think England will hammer Denmark. A final against Italy (potentially) is going to be a very different proposition though. England will likely win that and I’ll have to leave the country for ever.ASMO wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 1:28 pmThe problem is, if they win it, we will hear nothing but for the next 40 years until they win another trophy.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 1:13 pm Looking forward to the semis. Rugby club is Lions only and being neither a teenager or a 40 year old in a suit on the edge of the dance floor I don't fit the Winkers demographic...Slick wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 6:15 pmWinkers?Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 5:35 pm Predictably it is almost impossible to get a pub booking

To be honest for big football games I always want to be in London itself. Have always said if we won the RWC I'd obviously want to be at the stadium, think I'd rather be within walking distance of Trafalgar Square if we won the Euros.

Spain are lucky there isn't a rugby ref out there tonight; or there'd already be a couple of them binned for acting the prick to the ref.
I thought laying your hands on a ref was an instant card; even in soccer ?
Please don’t take this as a dig at you personally, it’s not intended that way.robmatic wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:47 amI think England should be better than them but destiny is a powerful thing and I think it's on Denmark's side.sturginho wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:28 amI have a feeling that the Danes are gonna win the whole thingPaddington Bear wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:07 am This thread was always going to go off topic at some point.

But the idea that England ‘should’ beat so many different teams (in some peoples minds it’s everyone except Germany, Italy and Brazil) is one of the reasons everyone hates them.
I won’t actually begrudge England winning this tournament, as I’ll be able to watch gammons heads spin by pointing out that all England needed to win after all these years was a little injection of Marxism. And there would still be eight countries with a better record at the Euros than them (currently there are 12).
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
England are ranked 4th and Denmark are 10th...objectively its not a hugely controversial statement to make.Biffer wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 8:40 pmPlease don’t take this as a dig at you personally, it’s not intended that way.

And yet we've seen in this very thread people dismissing what England have done by beating Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, and Ukraine by saying we've not played anyone good yet.
We cannot win with 'foreign' fans. So the only answer is to not give a shit - people will find a reason to dislike us no matter what.
Isn’t robmatic Scottish?Biffer wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 8:40 pmPlease don’t take this as a dig at you personally, it’s not intended that way.
