I worry about us going behind. Not sure how we'll react. Not sure how Wembley reacts.
Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot, But he'll remember with advantages, What feats he did that day
The Euros have, for some time now, been a better competition than the World Cup, for the reason you give.JM2K6 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 11:31 amI've really enjoyed how little a gap there's been between most side. Sure, there's been a couple of one-sided games, but so many have been either impossible to call or just outright upsets. Loads of drama too. Great stuff!Slick wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 9:48 amJust a joke old boy.
It has been a brilliant tournament and just what we needed at the moment. Although we were pretty average it was genuinely really great to have Scotland involved in something like this again and gave us a good couple of nights up here.
An England win tonight would be good to eke out the interest for another few days
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
Yes. I’m nervous about this side having to chase a game.Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 11:58 am I worry about us going behind. Not sure how we'll react. Not sure how Wembley reacts.
But if we can keep out Germany, Croatia and Ukraine we should be able to do the same to Denmark.
Imagine if England win the whole thing without conceding a goal! That can’t have been done before, surely? Would be incredible.

This is fantastic.
Finally got a pub booking, high street is already pretty rammed here. Nervous but excited.

Very good. Will likely annoy the Celts no doubt which is always good.
Yes, that's a worry I have too. Playing from behind in front of home fans presents its own challenges.Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 11:58 am I worry about us going behind. Not sure how we'll react. Not sure how Wembley reacts.
My subscription to the Athletic, among all the articles about Southgate's hair and 5,000 words on the importance of using the correct laces

England looking dominant now. Danes have run out of puff.

No ideas in the last third of the pitch.ScarfaceClaw wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 8:23 pm England looking dominant now. Danes have run out of puff.
Defending fine though.

We must be due a dodgy Kane dive any minute. I don’t know how the Danes haven’t conceded.Uncle fester wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 8:47 pmNo ideas in the last third of the pitch.ScarfaceClaw wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 8:23 pm England looking dominant now. Danes have run out of puff.

When Kane does it it's not considered a diveScarfaceClaw wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 8:50 pmWe must be due a dodgy Kane dive any minute. I'm not so sure of home advantage for a whole tournament with limited home crowds, it's definitely overplayed. England have certainly not in any way benefitted, much better imo, if they'd played them all in Baku.

Eng population 55 mil, Denmark population 5.8 mil. Inevitable outcome.
Not sure what you're laughing at - none of the replays at the time showed contact, but they showed one right before the break that showed Stirling got clipped. Fair enough decision.

15 mins and 1 game away from the title.
The sun will be calling him a hero for winning the penalty
