Hmm, no I don't think you understand us.

Rassie has overwhelming support. I haven't spoken to anyone I know, or even read any comments on SA sites that are critical of him. The most there is it's some fear it'll backfire expressed by a minority, but that's not the same as criticising him.

The UK/English reaction to Rassie is just hilarious, I've read the rugby sections of UK papers, it's wall to wall Rassie with short paragraphs on the match. Your players are dirty (UK papers ignored all the incidents involving Lions players but focused heavily on Kolbe), your players are disrespectful, they've taken the soccer dive to the maximum level, Gatland and Jones (not your creations, but furthers the general point) have chatted shit in the media for years. But suddenly it's arms aloft decrying the evil Rassie for destroying the whole sport. It's just impossible to take this seriously, strong whiff of "Boers should know their place" about it too, just like when Brendan Venter rebelliously ate a biscuit.

Dunking on the dirty players, is purely about fans who are told constantly for years they support a dirty side, with little to no actual dirt occurring, having a release.
I've highlghted the bits that just are not true.

And it's hardly just the UK who think Rassie has gone beyond the pale, it's every country except SA.

Apparently the Sinckler incident is around the 64 minute mark in a ruck with Mostert

Is that the Lions which ran less than 50m? If so it has something to do with the team they're playing as well.

"1.24 - The Lions averaged just 1.24 metres per carry against the Springboks in the 2nd Test, the lowest by a tier one team since Opta have recorded this data; 3 of the 7 lowest single-match tallies have been recorded against South Africa since the start of RWC 2019. Nullified."

The UK media has convinced itself that Rassie and Nienaber are sort of Putin and Medvedev, and actually the evil Rassie is really still running everything. But it's more like Han and Chewy. If Nienaber's job title is coach then that's what he's doing. And Nienaber is probably the best defence coach there is.
The Saffers also ran only 77m in the first half, and were losing. They at least changed things up a bit in the second half. Both sides were guilty of dismal rugby for long periods, same as the first game - the one SA lost handily.
I didn't know which team you were referring to with the 50m in the first half, which is why I asked. 5 points isn't "lost handily", it was a close match that the Boks lost, it could happen again in the 3rd test.

You blamed the Lions for them not carrying and how the Lions are choosing to play. But there's two sides out there. Opta have been collecting the stats since 2010, 3 of the last 5 matches the Boks have played are in the top 7 matches for the defences which stopped the opponent running. It's not just what the Lions are choosing to do.

Reported to the ref at the time, who refused to review it saying they would look at it after the game.

Can't red card any of these filthy fuckers during the game, that would be unfair.

Their blatantly obvious attempts started with their capt, in the first min, trying to goad the Boks into retaliating and buying a card

Fuck me, if the Boks had done all that there would be a Sky UK documentary already. And we would still be hearing about it 20 years from now.

It's a bit of a worry it's a French ref. They tend to be very aloof and strict, but also very laissez-faire in some areas. The French ref saying "play on" amid total chaos is a pro rugby era tradition.

I hope our guys stay focused on the rugby, because if they don't and react we've lost and it'll get really crazy.

We just love fighting. The result is irrelevant, it's the fight that matters. Peter de Villiers the old Bok coach was getting at that in his own eccentric way when he said "winning and losing feels the same to me".

Yeah great, SA are amazing, brilliant, awesome, Nienaber is a genius. Is that all you want to hear? Both sides kicked the living shit out of the ball, both sides had horrendous disipline, both sides served up turgid anti-rugby, both sides showed absolutely no ambition. The Saffers showed a little more in the second half. It has fuck-all to do with which team won and while I'm sure you love the fact that SA won, the fact is that both sides were appalling to watch.

It's not like the Lions defence is incredible or anything so christ knows what SA's excuse has been for their approach either

I am not sure there is a great deal to understand other than tribal support for a popular national figure against outside criticism (hardly unique to South Africans). Its just s shame that its probably going to establish a precedent to the detriment of the sport as whole and has apparently stirred up enough bitterness for pages of trolling and name calling here and other places online from fans who should be enjoying a fine win.

It's been covered so many times and is so blindingly obvious what the differences are between the two that there's no point discussing it further.

This is not to say that Gats (or Jones) have entirely clean hands in the current atmosphere in World Rugby, by any means.
Well as long as we all agree that it is not Rassie who is solely blame, and both coaches have indulged in this then all is good.
Happy to do so, and if/when Jones pulls similar to Rassie before an England game I will call it out.

Looking at it from that angle maybe it wasn’t such play acting from Biggar who looks like his face is pushed into anther Lions head/shoulder??

Problem is that his face takes most of the force, his hand momentarily goes to his face then it is almost like he makes a conscious decision to then hold his back. Lets face it, Biggar has form for this type of thing so i am not shocked and actually support the view he is play acting, if you roll the clip to the end, you will see he pretty much gets up and wanders off when he realises nobody is taking any notice of it.

He got smashed in the back, then whacked his face - I'm not surprised he didn't know which injured part to hold. It was a bit of filth and Biggar was not the problem there.

Worst for me is when a player falls badly like Murray, and Kolbe in the first, and all their teammates appeal to the ref instead of checking if he's okay. Such a shit path we're going down

Filth from the Saffer hooker running in from 10-15 meters to get involved with the melee that Kolbe caused.

Biggar wasn't involved. He was standing around, slowly walking towards people before some giant meathead decided to wipe him out with a big runup. Just a massive cheap shot.
