In the near future, with him on the bench we can go for a 7-1 split. The atomic bomb squad.Sards wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 7:16 am https://fb.watch/78FFaoOF32/

Goosen can cover all those as well and he has experience. He's on fire at the moment, don't know why they have not yet pulled him in.
Very good question......I can only think that 5bar is preferred as he is there to cover those and is already in the system....average joe wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 7:33 am Goosen can cover all those as well and he has experience. Although wing is missing from both those players
Still need a 10 and 9.....boere wors wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 7:23 amIn the near future, with him on the bench we can go for a 7-1 split. The atomic bomb squad.Sards wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 7:16 am https://fb.watch/78FFaoOF32/

That is most likely the reason, plus Frans Steyn, who is still in the bok mix although way past it. I still think he could add great value, we certainly need a backup 10 for Pollard. We have to wait and see in which position he settles in at the bulls.Sards wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 7:49 amVery good question......I can only think that 5bar is preferred as he is there to cover those and is already in the system....average joe wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 7:33 am Goosen can cover all those as well and he has experience. Dont quite get the 5-3 split. No real need for Morne and we are missing a fresh lock then.
JLDP would have made a lot of sense on the bench for sure.....he took most of the lineout ball when the Bulls beat the Boks.boere wors wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 12:10 pm Dont quite get the 5-3 split. No real need for Morne and we are missing a fresh lock then.
As for Morne....if Pollard gets injured...who is going to kick for posts?.....5 Bar

Baffles me either, JLdP would be the ideal bench option, 4 to 8.Sards wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 12:15 pmJLDP would have made a lot of sense on the bench for sure.....he took most of the lineout ball when the Bulls beat the Boks.boere wors wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 12:10 pm Dont quite get the 5-3 split. Sure, Damien would be our goal kicker, we took that gamble already on Saturday
Some dope induced dream probably.
Goosen has been amazing.....no doubt.
Goosen is an amazing rugby player, of that there's little doubt. The big question is, why haven't Rassie and Nienaber called him up? Is Goosen looking at the best interest of the team or is he only looking out for number 1?

What is Rassie’s #1 rule? No dickheads.
No Goosen. No JLDP.
Good point, no one ever speaks about Goosen's defence.

Perhaps siding with his brother? If they are anything like their dad, I think there's a problem.boere wors wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 7:52 amBut Dan is fine?

Imagine working with Rassie. RWC 2019 in the trophy cabinet after spending years in the rugby wilderness. Very good chance to win the BIL's, an once every 12 years opportunity. No place for entitled people.

Is it no dickheads in the squad, or no dickheads in the XV?handyman wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 8:36 amHe has been called up a number of times, but does he ever make the team?
Boet, we are going of track here. The main point here is why is Goosen not in the group? We all agree he has all the talent. What could be the issue? Let's get your take?boere wors wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 8:52 amIs it no dickheads in the squad, or no dickheads in the XV?

The example of Dan shows that the dickhead thing is maybe not the reason. He was with the squad, and came down with Covid, hence didnt feature in the preparation matches, hence was released. Now he is called back in for TRC. Nothing to do with dickhead.handyman wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 9:09 amBoet, we are going of track here. The main point here is why is Goosen not in the group? Goosens main problem might be that he didnt really settle in any position over the last couple of years in Montpellier. I have seen him play at 10, 12, 13, 15. We have utility backs in Frans Steyn and Willemse. He was playing good rugby, no question. Now that he is with the bulls, it will be interesting to see where he slots in. It helps that he is back in SA and I hope he will be back with the boks, he is class. Like with the du Preez twins, I just don't think anyone of them being a dickhead is the reason.
Its the logic if you don't want them in the side.....Dan should tell Rassie to vokkof.....boere wors wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 9:33 amThe example of Dan shows that the dickhead thing is maybe not the reason.
