Cobus worked super hard for that try, started at the scrum. 👍

I wonder if Cobus Reinach will EVER score a try for the Boks, without a South African commentator feeling obliged to bring up his father?

Dumb play really. They were making plenty of yards with standard offloads without needing to go Harlem Globetrotters.

His Dad played 14 for Boks in 1980s. Lightning fast.

Cobus' dad was also Springbok. Jaco Reinach played wing for the Boks and was also a South African sprinting record holder in the 1980s.
He scored this try against the NZ Caveliers.

Even though there have been many multi-generation Boks (Gysie & Ruan Pienaar, Schalk Burger Snr and Jnr, etc) for some reason the commentators can't help bringing up Cobus' dad every time he scores.
It's weird.

His dad held the 400m record in SA 45.01 seconds. He died in a car accident when he was 35. His record lasted 17 years. Interestingly Cheslin Kolbe's cousin holds the world record for the 400m. All in the genes.

Nkosi struggling a big on his defense execution. Reads are good, but not making the stop.
Willemse and Dweba also making enforced errors.

Bok scrum looks rock solid.

Wiese carrying strong. That's what I was hoping for when he first joined the squad. Very happy with him so far.

I like what Arg are trying to do but they need to be a bit more structured. It's not 7s! Oh: and cut out the dim pens but I guess 40 years of habit is hard to break.

An entire career of that behaviour.

He's also the weak link. They could be a really good team with a decent FH.

Agreed. He’s pea-hearted and stands too deep. Like Jankies actually.

Bok second stringers just not as clinical on defense. Linespeed slower, hits not as disruptive. Argies finding some momentum through little pre-contact shirt passing.

Bummed out that Dweba is making silly mistakes. Annoyed with Willemse. Unfortunatly we don't have a sub for him, unless Morne plays 15.

Boks 6-7-8 are nowhere near a unit.

Only Steyn, Etsebeth and Reinach good in defence.

21-9 HT

Both Fassi and Fatty Steyn can play at 15.

Neither Kwagga nor Wiese should be Boks.

Not sure what to make from that half.

Boks have a handy 21-9 lead, but don't look like they've been out of second gear. Everything is sluggish and sloppy.
Slow linespeed, soft hit-ups and tons of silly little mistakes by multiple players.

Wiese has been good. So has Fassi. Etzebeth, De Jager, Nche all solid.

Nobody else really impressed. Wilco Louw had a decent half, until his silly penalty. Dweba not having a good day. Kolisi all over the shop. Same with Kwagga. Reinach not upping the temp.
Jantjies hasn't made many errors, but hasn't really created much either. Frans started well, got quiet. Jessie Kriel...is he even on the field? Nkosi is dropping of tackles, and Willemse has been the worst of the bunch.

And who will play wing in Fassi's place? Or 12 in Frans' spot?
