It's our time in the sun. Holders of the no 1 spot in the test rankings, Rugby Championship trophy and the Webb Ellis *. When we become losers again we can act all humble and contrite. Time to act like cunts. One day as sure as night follows day we will lose to a minnow like Japan again and once again be crap and everyone will laugh at us. So we'll enjoy it while it lasts.
* And vanquishers of the Lions
You might find that it wasn't me who brought this up.
A. It was leaked deliberately. Rassie wasn’t happy with the timeframes provided but WR so he forced their hand
B. Does it matter if it was leaked deliberately or if Rassie has plausible deniability? If don’t think so.
The charges brought against Rassie cater for that: misconduct.
But WR has always been inconsistent with these things. We see it in citing outcomes all the time.

The charges brought against Rassie cater for that: misconduct.
18.3 For the purposes of these Regulations Relating to the Game, “Misconduct” shall mean any conduct, behaviour, statements and/or practices on or off the playing enclosure during or in connection with a Match or otherwise, that is unsporting and/or cheating and/or insulting and/or unruly and/or ill-disciplined and/or that brings or has the potential to bring the Game and/or any of its constituent bodies, World Rugby and/or its appointed personnel or commercial partners and/or Match Officials and/or judicial personnel into disrepute
18.4 (b) acting in an abusive, insulting, intimidating or offensive manner towards referees, assistant referees, Citing Commissioners, members of Disciplinary Tribunals or other officials or any person associated with the Host Union, the Rugby Body or the Unions participating in the Match or spectators;
18.4 (e) any breach of Regulation 18 Appendix 1 (Code of Conduct);
He is definitely guilty. The question really is what the punishment will be; and if they will codify the punishment because other couches have done this and continue to do this…just much more subtly. Rassie went nuclear and exposed some of the hypocrisy.Appendix 1 - CODE OF CONDUCT
1. All Unions, Associations, Rugby Bodies, Clubs and Persons
1.5 shall not publish or cause to be published criticism of the manner in which a Match Official handled a Match;
1.6 shall not publish or cause to be published criticism of the manner in which Council or any other rugby disciplinary body handled or resolved any dispute or disciplinary matter resulting from a breach of the Bye-Laws, Regulations, or Laws of the Game;
But WR has always been inconsistent with these things. We see it in citing outcomes all the time.
What Erasmus did was unprecedented.
Sure, other coaches have said things but only as part of a wider press conference and certainly not for over an hour. The other big difference is that Erasmus made it specifically about the referee and officials, it's simply not acceptable to do this.
Erasmus might feel emboldened now by South African fans egging him on towards a siege mentality but I think, I'd certainly hope, that not too far down the line he'll have the self-awareness to look back at his video again and ask himself what the hell was he thinking.

The saltiness of the tears......................................just stop fucking whinging .
The reaction of the Unions and their fans is more embarrassing than Itoje's football dive after he tried to suffocate De Allende.
Just move on you pitiful lot.

One day when the UK teams have a coach who is one of them and not a hired gun from another land, their supporters might understand . Right now I get the impression that the pride and passion in their game is waning at national level. I think its all down to thinking they can import success. Guys like Duhan VDM, Eddie Jones, Gatland, Bundee Aki just don't really give a fuck. They're just there to pick up a paycheck and go home to retire in their own countries. Rassie is 100% committed. He does whatever it takes to get our boys over the line. World rugby can't do anything to him that matters. The wallpaper on all my devices is pictures of Rassie. He reminds me that I have to strive everyday to win and that nice guys come second.handyman wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 6:25 amOutsmarted by a japie, oh the shameSlick wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 6:21 amThis is bang onKawazaki wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 8:00 pm What Erasmus did was unprecedented.

What difference does the length of the video make?Slick wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 6:21 amThis is bang onKawazaki wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 8:00 pm What Erasmus did was unprecedented.

Does anyone have the stat of how often a Tier 1 side has conceded a single penalty (or less) in an entire half of rugby when playing another Tier 1 side?

Also from a legal perspective, creating a video and sending it via a secured medium to a specific recipient does not constitute publishing. Plausible deniability here is everything. Unless they can prove he leaked it, they have nada. They'll give him some bogus sanction that won't amount to much. He'll carry on being a winner.
SARU need to give Rassie a blank cheque and sign him for the next decade.FalseBayFC wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 7:10 amOne day when the UK teams have a coach who is one of them and not a hired gun from another land, their supporters might understand . I'm a big fan of Rassie... and a Kiwi... and I found the video disappointing. He has always seemed so classy and passionate and all about integrity. So for me I wish he had never made the video. It just seems beneath him to stoop that low.. leave those antics to the mortals.FalseBayFC wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 7:14 am Also from a legal perspective, creating a video and sending it via a secured medium to a specific recipient does not constitute publishing. Is there suggestion he made this not for public consumption??FalseBayFC wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 7:14 am Also from a legal perspective, creating a video and sending it via a secured medium to a specific recipient does not constitute publishing. He even addressed it as if it causes trouble he is to be taken for blame not the team.
I’m not sure there is plausible deniability here.
That's what I thought watching.. like he knew the ramifications...Ymx wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 8:27 amIs there suggestion he made this not for public consumption??FalseBayFC wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 7:14 am Also from a legal perspective, creating a video and sending it via a secured medium to a specific recipient does not constitute publishing. Woodward called a press conference after the O'Driscoll incident with a Powerpoint presentation and went on to say:
“I’ve watched it frame by frame and for the citing commissioner to ignore that incident, especially as we asked it to be looked at and the player involved is seriously injured, and for the guy to fly off to wherever he’s gone, is wrong,”
FWIW, either Rassie must be sanctioned or everyone must be allowed to do it. I prefer the former.
+1 (except for the Kiwi part)Grandpa wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 7:54 amI'm a big fan of Rassie... and a Kiwi... and I found the video disappointing. It wasn't great by Woodward either but if you can't see the difference then you're a one-eyed loon. Woodward didn't use the rest of the press conference to go frame-by-frame through the rest of the match highlighting where the referee had deliberately favoured the All Blacks and laughed at the Lions Captain showing him disrespect. He was highlighting an act of extreme targeted foul play that wrecked the tour of the Lions Captain after less than 1 minute of the Lions test series starting. No doubt that Woodward would have liked to have spoken to the video evidence TMO instead of the press but, incredulously, he was literally away on a flight out of the country the next day. If that still appears dodgy now then imagine how it must have looked in 2005.
Not really. When Erasmus has been banned and the SARU fined then it will be finished.

a range of charges, among them bringing the game into disrepute and speaking out publicly against the diabolical officiating in the Springboks’ first Test against the British & Irish Lions.
Erasmus’s disciplinary hearing is a World Rugby hearing. It is an internal process and you can be guaranteed the old boys club will find Erasmus guilty of every charge.
It won’t be a victory but the start of a legal war that the game of rugby needs to once and for all kill off this notion that the match officials are more important than the players to the future of the game

Hope they throw the book at him, and the fucking bookcase too. The sooner world rugby purges itself of arrogant clowns like Erasmus, the better. There should be no place for pricks like him repeatedly bringing the game into disrepute with hysterical, self-serving antics.
