So no Whitelock, Smith or Mo'unga because their partners are having babies.

You really have to question where their priorities are.

No word yet on the replacement replacement captain? Spoilt for choice, really. I guess the Supe skippers are the logical replacement replacements.

He's not a certain starter, yet, but I'd love to see Jacobson given a couple of games as captain. He has the pedigree.

So... 8 props, 1 first five, and no Shannon Frizell. And Perth...

What could possibly go wrong?

Not the caps though. He’s a kid at international level.

You are kidding me! That’s ripped the heart out of the team. Yarpies must be licking their lips.

The article I read seemed to imply they would eventually join the squad, but not sure how that'll work with quarantine.

I for one would like to see all three in the team for the Bok match. That would put both teams at full strength, which is what the fixture deserves.

True, but I like the cut of his jib. He'd make a fine deputy to Cane in the meantime, imho.

Looking forward to Saturday morning games again, it's been ages.

Big breakfast for kick-off, and then open the beers if we're winning at half time

Great viewing times here as well. Should be well primed by the evening double-headers.

Now that a few of our usual starters are confirmed absentees from the Perth team, I wonder if Fozzie will go all experimental in the name of growing depth for the long slog ahead. Or will he plug the gaps and hold the course?

SMH
RA chief executive Andy Marinos told reporters on Tuesday that the home team in each of the eight matches to be played in Queensland would have their kick-off time tweaked to suit broadcasters in their country.

“Whilst they are all double-headers, there are certain games that are home games for South Africa and certain games that are home games for Argentina and New Zealand and Australia,” Marinos said.

“We have to balance that, in terms of the kick-off times so it hits those markets outside of Australasia at a reasonable time.”

Given the centenary Test is an All Blacks home game, the perfect kick off time for New Zealand viewers would be 5pm AEST.

Yeah, I have no idea how Marinos thinks that promise is even remotely achievable.

Just play the fucking matches at 15:00 and 17:00 Ozzy time. The rest of of will figure out how to watch them FFS.
Don't over complicate an already complicated logistical exercise. Just try to fill the damn stands.

Very thin on the backs.....flyhalf solidly covered. Wonder which centre is on standby. Got a feeling that we have been very lucky with injuries in the backline besides scrumhalf.
Scrumhalves die bus is vol. Fafs back.......
Flyhalves.....sorted. Morne is a match winner. Has to be on the bench. Can cover centre too.
Centre's worry me. One injury and we will lose a lot. Nothing remotely like the starters in the squad. All lightweights. Only Morne really if you want as close as possible. Yes. Age is important for experience. Specman probably next.
Wings.....WOW......we can be proud really. World class quality.
Fullback....Willie is the man. Then next in quality would be Fassi really.

Really really impressive squad

A lot of forwards....a lot. So much depth. Any nation would dream of a forwards squad like that.
The likes of Ox and Trevor have made a huge statement this year. Dweba not so much. Could be nerves. But that is a fully deserved starting lineup on merit that can take on and beat the best
