Heat should have massively favoured the Deshis.Insane_Homer wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 5:22 pm Scoteas on course for a win here. Bangers struggling with the rrr.

Pleased for Scotland - they’ve put a lot of effort into reorganising their national team and glad to see it pay off. Not a million miles off Ireland IMHO and hopefully some sustained progress will see the sport taken a bit more seriously up there.
As mentioned above, characterisation as a team of expats is not fair.

Coetzer and Berrington both moved to Scotland as kids and came through the Scottish age groups, played u15s etc for Scotland so are legit ours. Wheals mum is Scottish so not really a steal either. Don’t know about Greaves.Insane_Homer wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 6:30 pm Christopher Greaves - Saffa born, if you have a doubt listen to his post batting interview...Man of the match.

No big deal Saffers in your team Boet, they play everywhere, Black Caps, Australia, England.
Coetzer is Afrikaans like Labuschagne.
Coetzer is Afrikaans like Labuschagne.
Two groups in first stage - Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland, Papua New Guinea, Oman, Netherlands, Namibia. Four teams in each group, play each other once.
Top two in each group go through to second stage. 12 teams, the four from the first stage plus the eight full member teams. Two groups, Play each other once, top two in each group to semifinals.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

Don't pay any attention to Handyman, the poor lad tries so hard to be relevant on matters pertaining to cricket that he even dips his toes into the realm of comedy, albeit with as much success as Mustafizur's attempted scoop shot last night

I have a feeling these games will all go to the team that bats second if it's an early start and the team that bats first if it's a late start. looks to get a bit damp at the start and end of the days.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 11:44 amLast over wasn't bad either.Insane_Homer wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 11:36 amfishfoodie wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 10:58 am Quite a good over for Ireland; dot-wicket-wicket-wicket-wicket-single

Yeah. Saw that in the Deshi game. When they batted, the humidity on the outfield made the ball look like it was aquaplaning!Biffer wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 12:00 pmI have a feeling these games will all go to the team that bats second if it's an early start and the team that bats first if it's a late start. looks to get a bit damp at the start and end of the days.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 11:44 amLast over wasn't bad either.

Pffft! Proteas can lose these World Cup games regardless of when they bat or how dewy it is.
