Personally I don't give a shit about the 6 nations.....

We should rather focus on beating the Aussies and Abs more than 1 out of 4 first.

So baseballs big in the US. That's grand, add it to the list along with Nascar, soccer and bowls. Fok, add playing marbles if you want to. It just reinforces my point that they feel fokol about rugby.
It adds to the evidence that you have no fucking clue what you're talking about. No understanding of what makes the 6Ns the most successful rugby tournament in the world. Pretty typical of SH rugby, who have a record of creating shit tournaments, and taking what is decent, mincing it up and shitting it into the gutter. You're not going to do that to Six Nations.
You and who's going to stop it? You can go on and on here about how big baseball is in the US and how stupid I am but it wont change anything. If the suits say it's going to happen, it will happen.

South Africa is a Rugby powerhouse. The Springboks are 3 times world champions. They're a top team and a recognizable brand. SA entering the 6N will liven it up and make it more competitive. It will open up untapped markets and make it a more prestigious competition.
It would also fuck up the autumn and summer tour schedules

This bit is undeniable
SA entering the 6N will liven it up and make it more competitive.
I'm less sure about this, currently it will just mean that Italy get whipped by someone else, in the recent past it would have been the same for Scotland, I'm not sure that makes it more "competitive" as a tournament.
If it strengthens calls for Italy to be chucked out then it is nothing but bad for the tournament and bad for international rugby.

It will open up untapped markets and make it a more prestigious competition.
As things stand it's the most prestigious tournament in the sport after the world cup, so much so that Sanzaar made their own version of it. It has over a hundred years of history as a competition between the best in Europe.

What untapped markets will it open up that it doesn't already have viewers in?

Then the logistics, having an extra team cuts in to an already bulging calendar, the clubs in England and France call the shots in European rugby, they will not have their players away for another weekend, probably two as players will need rest, the international windows are already fiercely negotiated.

We're a Southern Hemisphere nation with SH rugby traditions. The rightful place for the Boks is the Rugby Championship, the home of all bar one World Cup Champion teams. They won't let us into the Six Nations because of tradition and culture. But also because they're scared. Which is justified because we're just too Alpha for the 6N.

At some stage NZ will quit being miffed at our withdrawal from Super Rugby. They'll stroke our egos and we'll settle back into our natural home.

NZ chuck us from Superrugby.

Our NH friends let us join the URC. Which already show success. We owe them to join the 6 Nations. We are part of them now.

We can do long tours to and from NZ and Australia.

We didn't withdraw from SR. They decided without us, that it will be better for them to just play each other

Hemisphere means fokol if the other teams in the south are +-10 hours before us. We are more in line with the UK and France than with NZ and Oz.

We have more in common with them. Our rugby tradition and culture is closer aligned. Our countries histories are closely linked. We've fought wars against and with each other. We'll be better of financially when we don't have to carry a small island nation with a population of 5 million and another country were rugby union is losing the battle against league.

Outside of NZ and Oz there's nothing left in the South. In the North there is so much more content. More teams, more revenue, larger audiences.

It's true. Seriously. What glory is there in beating NH sides. Maybe some bragging rights, but there will never ever be that same tradition as what we have shared with our SH friends. We have had a break up just recently and the NH has been kind enough to take us in at this very difficult time, but you understand how it works in an abusive relationship....we will be back together again

In 2019, average attendance for URC games was just 7,331. For comparison, in the same year average attendance for English premiership games was 14,507. South African teams have not featured in any of the games with the highest attendance since joining the competition in 2017. Indeed, since South Africa was added to the URC, average attendances have declined each year.

That doesn't really make a case for South African teams opening up new and untapped markets, or for making the competition more prestigious, and certainly doesn't make the case for allowing SA into the 6N.

What I've seen so far, the transition went smoothly. I've heard some positive things from some Irish and Scots. I guess we'll see in a season or two if it's a complete success or a steaming pile of wit honde kak

I doubt fan feeling would play much role in the decision. Packing the calendar even further, having even worse travel, no clear and obvious reason to actually do it - those are the obstacles.

As I read your list I thought "he's right, it makes no sense, therefore it'll happen".

Boks in the 6N it is then, good insight oom. Also Boks not leaving the RC (a great comp). Lets play in both, lets have the cake and eat it.

I just wish that the NH supports would stop being so wishy-washy about their feelings regarding us joining the 6N.

All these mixed messages that they are sending doesn't give anyone a clear idea of what they want.

It make a lot of sense after this year. It will keep the Springbokke going all year as a squad. Our lower structure play up North anyway. Most Bokke lift the NH clubs aswell. We are ab important ingredient of the cake may aswell eat some of it.
