Oh well. It was a good comeback but that intercept took the wind out of the sails.

Well done France - far too good in the first half

Yeah; unlike Ireland last weekend; they took their tries when they had the opportunites.

The huge thing for this French team is riding the momentum shift and coming back. Too many times in the past they'd have crumbled and conspired to lose.

I'd say the papers in NZ on Monday will be interesting.

Will Foster still have a job when he steps off the plane ?

Very enjoyable game for the neutral. France were good value but it took that interception to seal it.

There's been some fun games to watch during these AIs.

Yep, he was given a contract extension through to the RWC.

The nation rejoiced.

In the autumn internationals definitely. These teams need to come down to the SH and win there. If they do - then yes - the baton is passed to the NH teams.

Yep. Saved the best until last as well.

Have to say, France v NZ is the best match up in rugby.

It does always seem to produce great games. Although very surprised that France hadn’t won any of the last 14 games!

Only just seen the game.

Quickly
- Dupont is god.
- Villiere is a freak for such a small guy and by f**k did Fra miss him
- I may have been wrong about Jaminet. Was superb.
- Ntamack had a blinder on attack and the only thing wrong was the insane decision to sub him and put Jalibert in an impossible position. Oh, and the f**king cynical yellow by NZ to prevent a wonder try.
- Like I said, Woki is essential for his lineout work and see what he can do in the loose.
- Danty is no Vakatawa but look what happened when that stupid experiment of 10 + 2nd 5/8th was dropped.

Quick question.

What is the ABs largest ever deficit at 1/2 time?

I'd add that Gael Fickou is one of the best players in the game at the moment

No idea, but Ireland were leading 25-8 in Chicago in 2016, one point short of today's margin.

What was that stupid England score back in the early 00s?
Something like 26-0 at half time and ended up as a 26 all draw?

The 26-all draw was in 1997. England were up 20-9 at HT.

He's critical to the leadership across the entire backline. Was an absolute superstar at Ux RWC in (I want to say 2013) when Fra's game plan was "give the ball to Fickou" but he stalled for a few years as he suffered (like many others did) under Noves when he was heading into crackpot-dom at Toulouse. It took him moving to Paris to allow him to flourish.

Obviously the ABs have issues. For me, the elephant in the room is an area they don't have a problem with at the moment. Lock. Both Retallick and Whitelock are at the ends of their careers and nothing obvious coming through of the same quality.

Foster spent too much time resting his hopes on P Tuipulotu as one successor, rather than bringing a couple of the big youngsters into the squad (PPP, Lord, Strange, Blackwell).

PPP has looked promising.

I see NZ media talking about junking Foster before end of tenure and bringing in Razor.

More importantly Fat Fran has to be the slowest 15 in world rugby, i just watched the replay of the try Quirk scored, watched Fat Fran wobble towards him in an effort to make the tackle..he might have made it if Quirk had a pie attached to his shirt.

The only positive I’m taking from all of this is that it bodes well for an exciting 6N.

Ireland, France and England all firing. With Scotland looking strong too.

And the RWC. Based on this, we might actually have our first competitive one!

Challenges in the group stages as well with Argentina, Japan, Georgia and Fiji all looking serious. Italy the missing link now
