The CC begin 15 January. Will be interesting. Expect the Cheetahs, Pumas to rule. Griquas lost to many. The only URC matches that clash is when they tour in the NH.

Luckily the Poms are on their own. We can play them in the 6 Nations.

Correct on both counts.
Doubt much will happen in the URC in the New Year either the way that Wales, Scotland and Ireland are shutting everything down

At least the biggest game is still going ahead.

However, a bit less SA interest than usual as half the Edinburgh forwards are missing. Schoeman and Jaco VDW both starting though.

3 more matches cancelled for the weekend.

And with Omicron so widespread now, wouldn't be surprised if more are to follow (and in the coming weeks as well).

Let's hope the powers to be are drawing up some plans, it's going to be a pain to sort out.

Covid better not mess with another Six Nations

SA teams are schedule to play from 20 Feb against NH teams up North.

Hopefully the Covid-19 situation will be better.

It should be, judging by previous waves.

Anyway, 70,000 fans crammed into Twickenham 3 days ago so if that's the benchmark then we should be good.

Was at the doc today for a cortisone jab in my hip. He reckons this wave is mild and although infectious will pass through quickly and mildly with very few deaths.
We have gone through the 4th wave in a matter of weeks so although it's flaming up north it should pass quite quickly

I know we're desperate for some live rugby but were we really this desperate?

Well done Connacht. Never looked like losing that.

Yep !

Bath are welcome to JVG; he's done SFA to move Munster forward; & the brand of Rugby they play is dire.

If Pat Lam comes back on the market; Munster should be all over signing him up. He did wonders in Connacht; & I think he works best when he has minimal resources. If he could get a mix of the traditional Munster grit, & get them moving the ball thru the hands; they'd be a much better side.

That ref was dire. Penalty after penalty after penalty. Never let the game flow.

No.

I really started to doubt my interest in rugby in the second half.

Really reassuring to see everybody was hating the match, but I could really do with some Leinstertainment. Or just a sexy loop. Or a Tadgh Furlong shuffle....

Munster completed 47 passes in the entire game. Appreciate we were approx 35% possession but that is dire.

Michael Bradley has left Zebre with immediate effect.

https://www.onrugby.it/2022/01/04/micha ... bre-rugby/

A shame because at one point it looked like he was making real progress, but things have just gotten worse and worse over the last year and a half. The performance in the derby match was dire.
