Better over from Duanne. Can't bowl too full on this pitch.

Ngidi showing Olivier how it's done. Much better spell.
Jansen into the attack now too.

Ngidi continues to be our most threatening bowler. I still think he's too fat though.

That's more like it! Pressure had been building nicely.
Like I said, patience...Insane_Homer wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 8:53 am Ngidi showing Olivier how it's done. Much better spell.

Springboks, Stormers and WP supporter.
Must win match so they go for the guy who is the better bowler.FalseBayFC wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 7:55 am Interesting XI. Seems Jansen and Mulder will be competing for the all rounder slot. I'm OK with that. Its healthy for the team. Having Jansen batting at 7 is a little scary though.

And seems it is a justified one. Jansen breaking that opening stand.Calculon wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 10:04 amMust win match so they go for the guy who is the better bowler.FalseBayFC wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 7:55 am Interesting XI. Rabada gets Rahul. We're in a handy position now. Need to get Ashwin early .

Yep you're right my stream froze and when it came on I saw KG celebrating... for taking the catch. Jansen now on 7 wickets into only his third innings of tests. Very impressive for a 21 year old.Big Nipper wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 12:24 pmPretty sure it was Marco Jansen's wicketFalseBayFC wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 12:20 pm Rabada gets Rahul. Another one for Marco Jansen. Rookie bowler and keeper combining nicely there.
Olivier gets Thakur and we have a collapse on!

Elgar not far behind. He never get that front foot forward.
Well, he ran out of partners, so we'll never know.
He certainly looked like he wanted a biggish score. In a short time.
Disappointed that Markram goes early again. He always looks like he should be scoring far more than he does.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong about Verreyne and he scores a big one (or two). Can't say that I'm all that impressed with his keeping, though.
Your coverage appears to be ahead of mine. I haven't seen his wicket fall yet.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 2:49 pm Elgar not far behind. He never get that front foot forward.
The thing about Elgar is that he seems to play the ball off the pitch and sometimes he reacts a little late, which can look ugly.

He relies on his reactions, so he always plays the ball late and it sometimes looks a little ugly. He does tend to hold up one end, though (Mockers excepted), so I think it's worth keeping him in the side. Who opens for Western Province? maybe we should get him in...

Petersen a bit lucky.

Keegan Petersen is a born and bred Boland product. New Orleans is a tough playground.

They were part of the Cobra franchise, CSA only change back to the 14 teams a while ago. So no they didn't exist since 2004.Rinkals wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 3:27 pmHave Boland won many competitions lately?OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 3:10 pm I support Elgar. Bumrah's top score in Tests is 34. Next best, 28. He averages 6.6. You made him sound like Stuart BroadRinkals wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 2:52 pmWell, he ran out of partners, so we'll never know.

Good day for the Proteas.
