It doesn't seem to matter the opposition, Quins are consistently putting themselves in a position where they have to rescue the match late. They'll raise their game to the level required for that.

Quins haven't hit their straps this season. Thankfully they're at a point where scoring tries is usually pretty easy for them, and they've scored a good amount the last few months while butchering maybe the same amount. Defence has improved this season from last but tonight it was the worst it's been since last season. I wouldn't read too much into the game.

At that point, they could have kicked the ball off the park at the end rather than trying to run it out from their 22. Someone earlier asked what had happened to taking the easy 3s and this highlighted the futility.

Re plastic: I think I am a converted advocate. Each club I see playing on them has had to change style to a more entertaining brand.
