Very disappointing result. I followed the end of the game on twitter, they were down to 14 after Creevy got sent off midway into the second half for nutting Jamie Ritchie whilst he was on the ground.

LI scored a try under the sticks on 78 mins

Glasgow fans have had bagpipes confiscated on the way in at Exeter. Suggestion it's retaliation for banning head dresses.

If true, further evidence that Exeter are a shower of cunts

Moving the 1st choice 10 for a winger injury is plain daft especially after 33min.

They'll give some excuse like it expelling droplets into the air and posing a higher covid transmission risk.

They've just started that idiotic chant.

I was thinking they were doing well up to now in refraining from it

The difference between Kinghorn and VdW is crazy. Blair's attacking system works beautifully when the 10 attacks the line and the passing crisply. Neither VdW can do. I want a stewards inquiry on his Scotland cap.

Kinghorn was good at 10. Butchered a try on the wing though - needed to pass inside to Imelmann.

That, as well as they plan all week for BK at 10 then throw it out the window because of an injury in the position thats easiest to fill in an emergency just doesn't feel right.

And how often or BK running at wing during the week considering he needs all the practice at 10 he can get.

I think Glasgow's performance in the last third of that game can be described as complete and utter pish.

I've never seen them that bad, not since I used to hear scores on a Saturday morning because the games weren't televised, back in the Firhill days.

Not a good day for the clubs.
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

More than enough experience and internationals on that pitch. No leadership at all in the last 30.

Players should take the blame just as they took praise for beating Exeter pre Christmas.

Sure Brown and Wilson were poor when they came on and they're the leaders. But Glasgow have far too many capitulations these days. It's on Wilson.

It was when Darge went off it become such a palavar. He was the best player on the pitch, again.

As I said it's a very very interesting decision for Townsend. I'd play Darge though.

Seen a few folk saying we should give Andy Christie from Saracens a call up. Anyone know how he qualifies for Scotland?
So I squares up, casual like.

Grandparent (grandmother I believe). He played for us at U16s, but then switched to England.

At least 3 or 4 Chief's players would have something to say about that, including Hogg!
Mind you I have to say I was puzzled he was hooked, easily Glasgow's best player up until then.

Sorry to clarify I'm not saying Darge should have won motm but Exeter scored the majority of their points after he was replaced. Was the best player on the park until he was subbed then Exeter just ran riot.

His mum or dad I guess both him and his brother played age grades. Not sure he'd want to throw his lot in with Scotland quite yet. Backrow is a competitive spot for us and he's only this year a regular prem starter. Might make sense for him to wait a year or two.

Hutchinson with another irresistible attacking performance. Don't think with Bennett and Tuipolotu playing well (I think Tuipolotu is a flat track bully and would be badly exposed internationally) backing up Harris not sure he gets in though.

I haven't bothered watching the weegies but the only saving grace from the weekend was the debacle with Creevy/LI badgering the ref for more camera angles

Was just coming on to say that. Great news.
At 10 no less. Have they injury problems or something, as playing his first match in a year in the hotseat is a big ask.
Schoemann (T) has ben out for a while (although I think he might be approaching end of rehab), Cipriani has had concussion and covid and general knocks and not sure about Orlando Bailey - he's not in squad so assume crocked/covided.
Just to follow on from this, end-of-season rumours are that Schoemann is off to Sale and Cips is being released, leaving Orlando Bailey, some youth squad and not much else at fly half - of course Bath are after another 10, but suspect this means Redpath might be seen as cover at 10.

No great impact on Scotland, other than some specific development of his distribution skills which is no bad thing for an IC.

Also no clue if there's a search for a replacement for Faletau/Mercer, or if Bayliss is seen as the fulltime 8 (he's been in and across all backrow positions).

TopOfTheMoon providing his usual high standard of public service has worked out all the Glasgow permutations for the Champs cup so you don’t have to:

https://ontopofthemoon.com/2022/01/17/c ... 2-round-4/

I wouldn’t actually be surprised to see the worst case scenario come off with Glasgow losing (no BP) and all of the rest of these things happening:

Bath v Leinster: Bath lose
Sale v Ospreys: Ospreys lose
Racing v Northampton: Northampton lose
Montpellier v Exeter: Montpellier lose with no BPs

Rowe is there.

Who is Ben White?

Good to see Vellacott, Bennet and Hutchinson included. Is Hastings injured?

Kyle Rowe is in the squad! Looking forward to margin_walkers review of White.

Delighted for Rory Hutchinson who is class, good to see Mark Bennett back. Interesting Kinghorn is over Hastings for now. I do understand it on form but his goal kicking gives me the fear.

Andy Christie is interesting. Good battle between him, Bradbury and Matt Fagerson.

Aye, lots of interesting names there apart from White and Rowe. Andy Christie, Rory Darge (although he was widely expected), Javan Sebastian, Rory Hutchinson, Cam Redpath, Ben Vellacott.

And interesting absentees too: Fraser Brown, Ollie Kebble, Adam Hastings, Huw Jones, Cole Forbes, George Horne, Jamie Dobie, Ross Thompson.

Still good cover everywhere, although having only Kinghorn and possibly Redpath as cover for Russell gives me The Fear. Did Hastings do some chips pissing?

Ben White's been superb since he signed, albeit usually off the bench. Didn't know he was SQ. He's a better 9 than Steele for me.

I doubt many knew apart from him and the Scotland coaching team.
