Not sure either of those will stay with Hooper still at the helm, he is the maggot in the apple i am afraid.
Apparently Ed Griffiths has had chats with players and may have swayed their thinking, wondering what it is he's promised....

It can't be a shinier jacuzzi at Farleigh House.
.............a new DoR perhaps?

You'd think there's going to be some further movement there.

We know there's going to be an overhaul at end of season, quite how far that overhaul goes hasn't been confirmed - current new appointments would appear to be in holding roles.

Eddie Jones has jumped the shark.

He's world-class at selling Eddie Jones mind you.

Nowell looks like he's lost whatever pace he had. He's still a physical threat but I don't see him as an international class wing right now.

Bailey ahead of Ford is just duuuuumb

I'll wait 'til the squad actually comes out, but it sounds like we'll have another one where most everyone but the matchday 23 is only there for Eddie to satisfy his curiosity about them in his training environment. Which i normally fine, if aggravating, but we've only got about 15 tests until the world cup. It's time to stop dicking about with people who aren't currently credible test squad players.

Nowell woul make a pretty decent center in my view, i agree he does not have the out and out gas you need in a wing, but he is strong as fuck and does make ground on pretty much every carry he does.

I remember a game 6 or 7 years ago at the Rec, a time when Bath actually stood some serious chance of beating Exeter - Nowell started at 13 and was the standout, good decisions, good lines and balance, made yards and is so hard to get down to the ground in the tackle. Was also solid defensively, which is no mean feat for a winger at 13.

So, of course, Eddie rumbles on - jokingly, I hope - about him being a back row.

Sale Fans,
What do you think of Jono Ross?
He was always a good player in SA, but being English speaking he never really fitted into the Bulls. He even Captained them for a few games if I remember, the first [and last] English speaking Captain of the Bulls.
I don't get to watch all of the English games, but he seems to be a good solid player for Sale. Nothing flashy, but a very good investment for the club.

Not a Sale fan, but I've been to the cinema with Jono Ross so I'm a world-renowned expert on him.

He's a hardworking disciplinary nightmare.

If he could avoid constantly getting yellow carded, with the occasional red, he'd be a lot more useful. He certainly works very hard and is pretty effective, but he's the poster boy for the club's discipline problem.

Bath lose another one of their players in a decent semblance of form. Marvellous.

Ah well, the season's a lost cause anyway, and great for the lad.

Still at a loss as to what Ford has done to deserve being binned.

I'm not upset that tigers get to keep Ford. Not sure why chessum has jumped in front of George Martin. Happy to see barbeary in.

And Lozowski.

Both players are clearly amongst the best English backs and both in top form.

I fucking hate Eddie Jones. He's a wrecking ball with a huge fucking ego and he doesn't give a damn about English rugby.

With Loz at least, he's clearly been out of favour for a while so I had no expectations. Looks like Ford may well have joined him on the irrational shit list.

I'm really looking forward to finally seeing the back of Eddie. Just give me someone who makes sensible selections and can rescue our record against the Scots (it has gone to shit under Eddie).

All he can do is tragically guide them to the top of the league and into the latter stages of European competition.

There’s every probability that this 6 nations, Ben Youngs will overtake Jason Leonard as England’s most capped mens player.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see Ford come back for the world cup. If Eddie currently invests as much time as possible in Smith and others, then Ford is always going to be able to step right back in with little time, and a world cup camp will easily be enough for that. The world cup is the be all and end all for Eddie.

Other than Dan Kelly, who's still a rugby fetus, he's the only big lump EQP inside centre playing well. Closest thing we to an Esterhuizen to be dropped in alongside Smith if required. He might not scream international quality, but I get the logic of him being there given our dearth of 12s. He's young enough to go to the world cup and that's all that's required really. By the time that's done Kelly and Ojomoh, maybe someone new, should be ready.

Any talk about the lack of 12s comes with the caveat of Eddie long having decided he doesn't need Lozowski.

Would've been nice to see Collier rewarded for being a beastly scrummager but it was a long shot. Heyes is pretty good.

Not THAT surprised by Chessum being ahead of Martin, going on my "does he actually do anything when on TV" index. Radwan missing out seems strange to me but I really like OHC so eh.

Kelly made a difference coming on the weekend. Apart from dashing out the line for a Connacht try the rest was positive. Nice pass for the try at the end.

Kelly does look the business and I imagine that post-world cup whoever takes over the reigns for England will be looking at him very closely indeed. Hell, on his current trajectory he could still be a bolter.

However, Eddie's left it very late to give Dombrandt Simmonds, Smith, Quirke and Randall game time (although injuries rather than reticence have been an influence with him), so I can understand not wanting to add even more inexperience around the 8 - 9 - 10 spine.

I don't think there's ever been a better time. Quirke, Van Poortfliet, Randall and Mitchell all look like they could fit in comfortably at international level. You'd hope that it will be Youngs' swan song, but I suspect Eddie thinks he's essential to stymying our chances in the play offs in France.
