Everything in the garden now gale proofed, I suspect a few wheely bins are going to be rolling down the road soon.
A few roof reapirs here still not finished with repairs after the last storm. Good time to be a roofer I suppose
Ahem, Merseyside coast, you plum.

Pray for my roof. I’m kicking off getting quotes to have it replaced. It’s well overdue for it and I’m a little worried that it’ll give up the ghost if it gets too bad.

Best of luck. We have a yellow warning for snow. I don't know when the powers that be decided we need to be warned about a couple of inches of snow, but there you go.

I’m still intrigued. Still a huge difference in predicted max wind speed tomorrow (80 v 43) between us and Liverpool, four or five miles away.

It’s all the hot air produced by Sefton and C69, which acts as a natural barrier to heavy winds.

I think the warning is less about the volume of snow, & more about it being driven by a >80mph wind, & reducing viability to zero. That was emphasis was in the Irish warnings

The main event is only starting now here in Galway, so we'll have to see how fast it moves, & how hard it blows.

Fingers crossed no-one gets hurt.

A couple of inches of snow just south of Edinburgh. Just had the embarrassment of taking my wife's Q3 out in the snow. Why are German motors such pieces of shit in adverse weather.

Dublin is near the storm pressure centre and the strongest winds are all to the south of it. Bit lively at Porthcawl

I like this scale..

0 - All Wheelie bins in place
1 - Wheelie Bin has moved
2 - Wheelie bin has fallen over
3 - Wheelie bin is next door
4 - wheelie bin is in different post code
5 - wheelie bin is now in orbit

Well the Met Office Red Warning now current for London & SE until 15.00. Peak winds still mostly in the SW and S Wales for now, moving steadily eastwards and much worse on the coasts and higher ground as to be expected.

Gusts over 50 mph here now and can hear aerial clattering about on its mounting. A little sheltered here but wind does get funnelled down the hill and when the wind veers more W from SW a bit later it'll come through a gap and hit hard

Starting to get power cuts reported now around and about

Pure westerly here now, I'm on a hill with a clear view across to Caldy, watching all the crap blowing over the wall, clearing my garden and landing in the next county...

Gust speeds over 60 mph now at Heathrow
