Ah, so you have missed a lot of modern day reffing, because none of what you've put there actually matters.Mr Tim Buktoo wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 7:15 pmWas in its arse. Nothing malicious about it. Accidental and should have been a penalty only.

That's not going on Dupont's highlight reel. Such an unnecessary offload.

Bye bye Toulouse. If you can't keep 15 men on the pitch for more than 10 minutes a game, life gets tough.

He did that last week when Cros (I think) was down and so they were playing with 13.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 7:18 pm That's not going on Dupont's highlight reel. Such an unnecessary offload.

Nope. There has to be common sense. If the toulose lad had landed the ulster player on his head/neck then of course but it was a tame lift of the legs and the ulster player landed on his back. No issue. Farcical. Its like tackling someone by the hips and landing them on their back. No penalty then is there?Lobby wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 7:15 pmYou might want to have a look at the Steve Thompson thread before commenting further.Mr Tim Buktoo wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 7:13 pm And another nothing yellow card. The game has gone soft. Ridiculous.
And both of those offences have been text book yellow cards for ages.
It should only be a card if the player is landed on this head/neck/shoulders with force.
I dont think ive seen such a tame example of both those offences in a long time.

Do you reckon he's trying to do too much due to so often needing to be the creative spark for the team?Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 7:20 pmHe did that last week when Cros (I think) was down and so they were playing with 13.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 7:18 pm That's not going on Dupont's highlight reel. The issue here is he's not meant to be lifting the player at all. If Delibes is too thick to understand that, he should find another career.Mr Tim Buktoo wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 7:20 pmNope. Landing on head or neck from being taken in the air has been a red for ages. Putting a playing through the horizontal has been an automatic yellow for ages and a red where it causes someone to land on their head or neck.Mr Tim Buktoo wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 7:20 pmNope. Absolutely. Go back to the game v a 3rd string Cardiff where he effectively had to win the game single handed. It's been like that much of this season with Toulouse. Dupont plays well, they have a chance. Dupont plays below par, they lose. Dupont doesn't play, they are rubbish.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 7:21 pmDo you reckon he's trying to do too much due to so often needing to be the creative spark for the team?Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 7:20 pmHe did that last week when Cros (I think) was down and so they were playing with 13.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 7:18 pm That's not going on Dupont's highlight reel. I think without Cros, Baille and Marchand, this was already a reach too far for Toulouse even if they had some kind of form.
{EDIT} To add to Holmes, Chocobares, Tolofua, Guitoune, Placines & Tekori

Now that was nicely worked after the intial mess around the ruck. A bit more of it and we've got a game on.

F**k off Carney, that's a clear knock on by Ulster.

Carley is usually a massive stickler for the laws, but from that seeming Ulster knock on onwards it's like he came over all French and it was anything goes at the breakdown.

Oh. He sees THAT knock on
What pisses me off with the ex pros on comms is the "in the current climate" line that they trot out every time, or "rugby incident".JM2K6 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 6:19 pm I don't see the point in splitting hairs over whether he hit the shoulder a millisecond before hitting him in the head. A very big bloke decided to smash someone without bothering to bend and drop the tackle height, and hit him hard in the head. Should always be a red.
Go have a chat with your mate Steve Thompson, who seemingly struggles to remember his eldest daughters name at times, and get an understanding why we need to change...

That is abject by Ramos. It was a poor kick and he still screws it up.

Toulouse every right to be annoyed with that. Intentional or not, Mauvaka ended up being tripped by an ulster player lying on the ground.

Ulster really need a decent OH, to match the level of talent they have across the rest of the backs

That HAS to be red.
Watch Carley walk Ulster out of this one.

That flies in the face of many rulings on incidents like that from the past. Lowry gets off the ground after Ramos and cards have been issued for that.
