Edinburgh have had a few mis steps too this year - home draw against the Stormers, the loss to Benetton spring to mind. Also a pish display against Glasgow.
Hope they manage to finish the year with two strong performances.

And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
Well, it’s completely sold out now.weegie01 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 8:07 am I did a rough count, and there appear to be about 60 tickets left for the Edinburgh game tomorrow.
Which begs the question, to be classed as a sell out, does every single ticket need to be sold, or is there leeway to allow for single seats that are hard to sell?

Can't say I was surprised to see Fagerson give away a bunch of cheap penalties.
Thought they looked quite disorganised in attack and reliant on individual ability.

Absolutely agree, very disorganised. It seems if they can’t score in the first few phases or in broken play, they have no way to break down a defence.robmatic wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 1:27 pmCan't say I was surprised to see Fagerson give away a bunch of cheap penalties.

The issue now, and the reason I want Glasgow to pull the trigger on Wilson, is this is the sort of situation that leaves players disillusioned. It would be a disaster if the likes of Price, Cummings, Fagerson(s) and others decided to leave. I would also imagine the carefully developed culture at Glasgow is close to wobbling if not already falling over.
Weegies have gone backwards this season, they are nowhere near the team of old. Decent players but they look a bit lost as said above - attack seems a bit blunt and defence is poor. They are also losing a lot of games in the last quarter, not sure if it is a mental thing, lack of fitness or what. Having seen what Blair has been able to do at Embra I suspect the SRU will not be as reticent as they have been in the past to pull the trigger on Wilson. It might be best for all concerned?KingBlairhorn wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 4:07 pmAbsolutely agree, very disorganised. Does she know how to do an Epley manoeuvre? There are YouTube videos that show you how. Some people can do their own and relieve their symptoms. It’s not complex, it involves a specific sequence of head turning and rolling over.
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

A huge favour for Scottish rugby being done by the Ospreys turning over Scarlets. If Edinburgh manage to down Ulster tonight, Glasgow will have to beat Edinburgh in the last game for champs cup rugby. That could be an interesting conundrum for the SRU; an Edinburgh home semi vs Glasgow in Europe (not that they would necessarily be able to pressure Edinburgh into playing a weakened team).
Yes, I was taught it before my menieres was diagnosed and the doctor was out on Thursday and told her how to do it.

Bloody hell this is a frustrating Edinburgh performance thus far.
They are on the wrong side of the ref but keep doing the same things over and over. Also, they need to get a bit of control when they have the ball but neither half back can do that.KingBlairhorn wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 7:21 pm Bloody hell this is a frustrating Edinburgh performance thus far.
Chris Dean has played well

Ulster deserve to be in the lead without really doing anything with the ball.
We’ve blown at least three, probably four try scoring opportunities, I say opportunities rather than chances because they were simple “move it through the hands” and we’d have scored.
Some of the decisions have been questionable, I don’t know what the penalty count is but I’d guess at something like 9 -4 in favour of Ulster, but that is not why we are losing.
We are so fucking inaccurate it beggars belief

Utterly cynical penalty there by ulster. Ref screaming to let go but he held on and killed the move. Smart.
They were offside at every ruck on their line, they're getting away with everything tonightKingBlairhorn wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 8:08 pm Utterly cynical penalty there by ulster. Ref screaming to let go but he held on and killed the move. Smart.

Special try. Finn Russell in his Glasgow 2015 pomp used to do that all the time (at least in my memory!)

Tell you what, he’s an absolute trooper. 30 mins with one arm as a hooker and thrown what, 5 line outs perfectly, is superb.

Schoeman a machine with the amount of carries.

Another huge game from the schoe too, the man is a machine. Carrying like a fresh back row in the 80th minute for a prop is disgusting!

That last few minutes was everything annoying about that game. The tryline is the offside line Ben, it’s not hard to see the defenders are over it.
