LaR are slaughtering MH too 17-0 after 23 mins. I think I'm done for tonight. Massacres are dull.

Good game both, shame one had to lose. (No pun intended).
And Ntamack's "performance"?

They've been bigging that fixture and Leicester and up for weeks. I appreciate that as the home of the Prem they don't want to say that the league leaders don't have a prayer, but they definitely shouldn't have gone so hard. Nothing about Tigers this season suggests they can take on a juggernaut like Leinster. They're cussed and well coached, but they lack star quality.

It was a HIA, a replay showed him getting hit in a head to head
I thought it was a blood replacement
Could have been either, but Zebo got a smack in the head, & had blood coming from his mouth & had to go off for a HIA

It was called an HIA. He did have blood coming from the mouth. Without the law book, we won't know if Murray should have been allowed to kick.

Ref went thru it, it may have been when you were looking for a stream, but each team had to nominate their kickers, & he checked they were all on the field at the end of extra time, which I think is the only thing.

I'm a bit surprised how one sided it is; but having Ben slowing down, or kicking away, any possession isn't a great tactic

Yeah I agree.

A Sarries Tigers Prem final would be very good though.

Not a fan of Shoot Outs.

Would prefer the NFL way, make them play until they drop even if it takes all night.

I remember a lovely piece of work where he took out 3 defenders going inside outside inside before releasing two supporting players in space but they made a hash of that space.

Working out how to beat the teams you play all the time in the Prem is very different to putting together a plan for occasional opponents, let alone ones with the class of Leinster. The whole season a lot of smoke has been blown up Leicester, this should be a painful reality check for them as to how good they actually are.

Oof, talk about a fixture where you want both to lose...

It would probably be the right final, though. Two best teams in the league this season.

Bit of a shit way to lose but Toulouse far too powerful and we were missing some of the players who might have countered that.

Proud of the way the young guys stood up. Losing POM was the difference.

Bamba really does have some engine for a tightehead.

Breakdown penalty bang in front of the posts when only up by 2. Glasgow's coach will be livid.

The breakdown in the Leicester Leinster game looked more than a touch out of control - quite a bit of torpedoing in

Leicester looked to keep the ball alive out of contact a bit too much, not sure they've quite got the collective hands for that.

FM. OTTOMH, Tolouse were missing Nanai-Williams, Tauzin, Guitoune, Faumauina, Arnold, Chocobares, Bonneval, Holmes and Tolofua.

And anyway, you were playing with 17 men and still lost.

The advantage of playing in an easy, domestic comp:
With their league position secure, Leinster have spent three weeks preparing for this match and it showed, both in the 13 Ireland internationals in their starting XV

Bamba has really frustrated me since leaving Brive. He should be a national fixture by now but seems to have periods of being disinterested too often. I'm not sure Lyon was a good place to learn his trade. Somewhere like Toulon or Toulouse would have been better. He is a mobile wrecking ball when he bothers: kinda reminds me of Ioane........ in a bad way.

And why might that be? Ans: because for Toulouse, Ntamack has been so poor, Dupont has been trying to do too much all by himself. Another invisible man display yesterday and that f**king woeful kick away off the ball near the end with an overlap on is a perfect example of his complete inability to read the game.

I am glad you found a new player to hate.

He is far from being perfect but I am glad Ntamack is playing for ST and there to stay. Dupont's service yesterday as woeful. He had a bad game and made bad decisions. Shit happens.
Another one of your pet hate, Ramos, is having a great time. I am also glad he is at the club;

I don't dislike Ramos. He is just unreliable. Sometime he kicks 100% for an age and then he'll miss a load of easy ones. He is capable of unexpected breaks from FB and then will have a brainfart and drop an easy ball. He's a good club player but never intl. standard.

At the moment, Berdeu, Carbonel and Gibert are all playing better than Ntamack and I would not be pushing them for ntl selection (although Gibert might get there some day).

Other than the injuries (which other T14 clubs have suffered too), the reason Toulouse has struggled all season is the same one why France lacks cohesion. Both have a great set of fwds and very good backs (relative to the oppositions). Both share the world's best player at SH. But the link between fwds and backs is continually broken because Ntamack is brain dead. He has no ability to read a game.

EnergiseR2 wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 7:18 am I've seen Dupont have matches like that frequently. Confirmation bias means when he is not playing well and then does something half decent people go 'look he is super human I told you'. In a way he could become France's weakness. Target him effectively and it gets a bit sketchy for them
You are correct, in a way. See above. He is taking on too much himself because he cannot rely upon his 10 to his job. I keep going back to that Cardiff game as the perfect example. Cardiff 3rd team: with some semi pros FFS. Ntamack had no f**king idea how to manage a game in the wet when his fwds had total dominance. He was made to look a mug by a part time FH. In the end, Dupont had to win the game single handedly. And that trend has continued for both Toulouse and France. Toulouse have actually been better with Holmes at FH and he's not very good.

Thing is with France, there's a lot of politics. Play for Toulouse and have an iconic dad, and you get into the ntl side. Even if you are rubbish. I give you Skrela..........

TBC, France has a genuine shot at winning the RWC but there is no way that will happen if Ntamack plays.

PS NEVER take any notice of what Toulouse fans say about their own players. They are wonderful supporters but the most myopic on the planet when it comes to their own players. Medard FFS
