The Bulls vs Sharks quarter final was quality rugby.

I'm now at Rockpool and 2 CBC drafts down. Curwin should have stuck with cricket or hockey. Win or lose I'm ending up at a club dancing like a crazed Gen Xer. I can feel it in my bones. We've rented a AirBnB in Greenpoint until Monday. What happens in Greenpoint stays in Greenpoint! PMB and William O' Brien boys represent! DeWetBarry here I come!Blake wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 2:40 pmAgree with all of that and especially the Lambie part. He was one of the most level-headed, competent and reliable players we’ve ever produced._Os_ wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 2:27 pm Bosch has been disappointing, he hasn't progressed. He's ended up a provincial level fullback and that's it. Which seems a really poor return on his potential.
Good kicking from hand, place kicking not particularly memorable but not terrible, good running from the back on the counter, speed average and not fast enough for wing or 13, option taking not good enough for 10 or 12, distribution below average and not good enough for 10 or 12, really quite bad in the contact he still seems a bit scared. A lot of the trouble he's getting into at 10, is about not being in position properly, then getting the ball and not having any carrying option (he's scared of contact) to limit the damage, then taking some poor option to pass or kick, and if it's kick we lose possession and if it's pass his distribution isn't good enough for 10 so that too becomes a 50/50 call on losing the ball.
The problem he has now, is that he's playing a position he's not good enough to play and Fasi is the better prospect at 15, which seems the only position he's able to play in.
If Bosch was new into this team, and had never played for the Sharks before, would he even be making it into the team? Pair him with a rookie/erratic 9 and the wings are stuffed by the time they get the ball.
Such a shame Lambie was too brave and took too many knocks to the head. He was many times better than what we saw today.
Bosch was the complete opposite. Hope he stays at the Sharks for many seasons to come
Air of inevitability that Leinster will win this, but. Leinster’s idea that they can just mix and match their team any old how then wheel out the big guns for the big games? I don’t like it. Didn’t work last week. Could well bite them in the bum in any of the next matches. Much as I like Leinster I would not be displeased if it did.

That ended up being a real nice day out. Good crowd and good banter around with the Shark supporters. A bit to close for comfort at the end but great to be in the stadium when its that close to the very end. Pretoria is still very Afrikaans, even a lot of the black and Indian people that were sitting around us were shouting stuff in Afrikaans at times One of the SAB guys with me can barely speak a word of afrikaans but he was shouting loudly all the time "My bloed is Blou" in a thick accent. Was his first live rugby match.

The Leinster game was a bit of a disappointment in how one sided it was. Always thought they would win, bit was hoping for a good closer game to watch when i got back from Loftus.

Jantjies brings Youngs like levels of sloth to his delivery, & then Libbok ends up standing so deep, the entire back line is buggered
Embra have brought the physicality, which is good.
Stormers should just give it to Roos and try not to pass forward occasionally.

30,000 in. Awesome
Embra put up a great fight but Stormers deserved it.
So Ireland v SA, SA v Ireland. Scotland showed up. Italy, well it’s Italy. Was there any other nation involved?
