Surely this would be worse to play football on? But thanks for the info.Blake wrote: ↑Sat Jul 16, 2022 3:44 pmIt's a football pitch on sandy soil. Was never designed for rugby to be played on it. Doubt the City of Cape Town is going to invest in having it resurfaced until they get Western Province / The Stormers to commit to a long term lease.

Actually it was a great pitch for football, it was layed for the WC in 2010. But this is the first season the Stormers played there, so a season of URC was not good for this pitch. Before this season only sevens were played on it which do not damage the pitch much.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 16, 2022 4:02 pmSurely this would be worse to play football on? But definitely need a new surface for rugby long term
.Yep. But Wales also super cynical in the red zone. Very annoying to play against that
All the money you made will never buy back your soul
Think it was surfaced in 2010 according to FIFA standards.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 16, 2022 4:02 pmSurely this would be worse to play football on? WPRU has this on-again off-again issue with Newlands and are in deep financial distress. They need to level Newlands and sell the very valuable lots under it, invest whatever is left after paying their debtors and commit to Cape Town Stadium as their new home base. May the City will then resurface it properly to "Newlands Standard".

Pollard and Lood also great so far.
Ja, he hasn't been half the player for the Boks that he has been for Leicester.boere wors wrote: ↑Sat Jul 16, 2022 4:05 pmAh ok, thanks. Missed it as well. Wiese was weak i thought.
He gets over the advantage line well enough, but he is so one-dimensional.

ja, he is totally off the pace
He is so far off the pace. Can't be out of rugby for 12 months and then start with test rugby against Wales.
I get that Nienaber wants him to get some game time before TRC, but he really is a passenger out there. Same thing in the first test.

The ref is reallly very lenient on Wales when it comes to penalties in their own 22. Keep giving warnings without doing anything about it
I think they have been on the edge but just enough of a gap to allow it.bok_viking wrote: ↑Sat Jul 16, 2022 4:34 pm The ref is reallly very lenient on Wales when it comes to penalties in their own 22. Keep giving warnings without doing anything about it

Every time they are on a warning, they stop infringing and the Boks score, but if you are getting away with it, why not?

This game feels like it has already been playing for 2 hours.
All of the last 5 or 6 Bok vs Wales matches have felt like that to me. They just crawl by. I hate them.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 16, 2022 4:39 pm This game feels like it has already been playing for 2 hours.

TBH, I don't even know why I tuned in to this one. Not like I have any stake in this.Blake wrote: ↑Sat Jul 16, 2022 4:40 pmAll of the last 5 or 6 Bok vs Wales matches have felt like that to me.
