Not x factor any more though.
True, but he's contained Mapimpi well enough and made Kolbe his bunny.

Q for the Taffs, what has happened to Gareth Davies and Rhys Webb?

Don't know why, but Kolbe has been poor since he went to Toulon. I know he was out injured for a while but looks a shadow of a year or so ago.

PS, Kolbe wasn't on long anyway.

That hit by Mapimpi looked...marginal. If the ref had another look it might have been problematic.

Same as the last 2 weeks. The bench is supposed to give the knockout blow, but instead they did the opposite and let Wales back into the game.

It's happening again.

South Africa just better here, by a couple of levels. Wales look decent, SA pretty good in comparison. But the comparison is the thing. I still maintain this is Wales on the slide and they're not actually that good. Which reflects on SA.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

Thank goodness SA have come through over the final 15 minutes to win this or it would have rendered the upcoming AB-Bok tests a cripple fight.

But how brave from a Welsh team we all expected to be annihilated in this series.

Glad we didn't lose the series, but boy did we make hard work of it.

We have a lot of work ahead of us if we are going to be competitive in France next year. That's for damn sure.

Now is the time to put some money on one of the SH teams winning the WC next year. The NH will be drunk on power after today . I can imagine there will be some good odds available over the next few weeks.

I think the type of game he plays has a lot to do with confidence and the more opportunities he gets, the more confident and practiced he becomes and taking those opportunities.
At Toulouse he got a ton of opportunities to refine his attacking skills week in and week out...but at the Boks they atrophied and at Toulon also due to lack of one-on-one opportunities created for him.

Another dire display by the boks. They should be playing much much better. Somehow they can't.

Nice to seal the series with a semi-decent margin. We just miss so many tackles - especially the backs and we simply can't get the backline going. Compare us to the Irish handling this morning and we're simply lightyears behind. What exactly is Stick doing to earn his salary? PSdT was clearly off the pace and probably needs some more game time. We're gonna need him in France. Oom's gonna rub my face in it but willemse went alright. Eben is worth his weight in gold.

Endless warnings but no cards was rather odd I thought. Nothing else to say really. In a weird way I'm just glad it's over.

Nah, that's a Yank13 myth. Always thought he was good enough for the Bok squad.

Very happy with Jadens performance. He did what was required and we got the W. Hopefully Herschel goes back to his union to learn how to speed up his game and decision making. Grant has to be number 2.
Bongi had a good game. Kolisi woke up. Eben was fantastic. Would have liked to see Ox and Thomas because they work well with Bongi and dominated scrums in the URC, and are a fantastic mauling combination.
I was very happy to see Wilie come on at 15. He really is a playmaker.
Our backline is dross. There really is nothing happening there except a defensive effort. Donkeys. We really do have the worst backline in world rugby.

How did Willemse go? He got options now, 15/12 even wing.Did better then anyone getting possession back from our high kick balls, defend like a demon, putting players in space, taking it up. He played himself to a standstill.

Willie Kolbey , Mapimpi was disappointed on defense. The Wales wing got past them like snel trein.
