I think the only way the FBI can get a search warrant application approved by a judge is if they have compelling evidence that what they're after is at that specific address at the time they want to search. There's no way they'd take a swing at this otherwise - the political stakes are simply too high.

Just catching up, & watching some of the US News clips on this; when the National Archive people previously went to his shitty hotel, to recover documents he shouldn't have removed from DC; the Inventory, of Non-Classified materials they recovered, ran to ~100 pages !

But they also recovered Classified items, & that inventory ran to 3 pages; & there are strong hints, that some items were left off this inventory, because some items found, were of such a high classification, that just an accurate inventory description, of the item, would mean that the inventory itself would have to be classified.
