Right, so the new format looks like something you could knock up for free over a weekend. 10 years ago.

Looks awful and very dated.
Also, it doesn't autofit the screen for mobile devices ... which makes sense if it's about a decade old :lolno:

I absolutely hate that. I always switch to desktop view on any device I have. Just can't stand the auto fit views on any website, yeah the writing's a bit small, but the layout is the way it should be.

Nah, for years jrp and sefton were accused of being secret mods before they were officially outed. There were far to many convent actions taken in their favour, despite their behaviour in any given argument. It was obvious.
If you remember that's how it was back then though. None of the Mods weren't known. That changed a decade or so ago.
They weren't known, but people certainly guessed and threw it out frequently.

Was Jerpy ever a Mod?
Yes, but he didn't quit.

It’s still phpbb they still have to switch it to new forum software.

They just “upgraded” the old forum so they can then switch it to new forum as second step. I think.

God it’s ugly at the mo.

PR won’t die until the Swarm are able to quit their two massive threads that are like crack to the craic.

I am pretty sure that's the new bored, Xenforo is also written in php, and this looks identical to the other fora in the family. Upgrade phpbb only takes about 15 mins to do and is an automated process..but what do I know

(By stiff I mean still, obviously. Having said that, I have been feeling a tad frisky this afternoon  )

That's it alright.

If that is the final version, there is a fundamental lack of common sense and taste going on.

I remember all the previous iterations of the bored - none were that bad.
