Disappointed that she never got to authorize use of lethal force by the Navy in the Channel against dinghies?

For a given value of stitched up... Presumably Cruella has actually demonstrably done something that breaches security protocol otherwise Truss wouldn't be able to sack her/demand resignation. And if she's dim enough to be caught out (she is), should she be in one of the great offices of state?
Tory right once again thinking that rules are for other people.

Sadly, Braverman still got the poison pill of the police being able to come down on anybody even considering a protest like a ton of bricks through in last night's vote. They love free speech, the Tories.
"As soon as I realised my mistake, I rapidly reported this on official channels, and informed the Cabinet Secretary. As Home Secretary I hold myself to the highest standards and my resignation is the right thing to do.
"The business of government relies upon people accepting responsibility for their mistakes.
"Pretending we haven't made mistakes, carrying on as if everyone can't sce that we have made them, and hoping that things will magically come right is not serious politics. I have made a mistake; I accept responsibility; I resign.

It's been another one of those days for the Tories. Great to see her go. And she even left us this on the way out.

Sky reporting the information was, "Market Sensitive", hence she had to go. Immigration goals specifically
Get the High Offices into the hands of the less mental ones then go for the PM. This is their only option now, Gove and Raab will follow soon no doubt

Two more years of these vipers fighting in a sack.
Fuck me!! She has concerns about the direction
Braverman admits she has “concerns about the direction of this government”. In particular, she says she has concerns about the government’s commitment to reducing overall migration numbers. This is a direct reference to Truss saying that she would like some types of immigration to rise, to promote growth. She also says she has “serious concerns about this government’s commitment to honouring manifesto commitments”. This passage makes this look like a policy resignation, from a rightwinger (with leadership ambitions) perhaps unhappy about the fact the Tory party is in effect under the control of the more centrist Jeremy Hunt.

Steve Baker the unspeakable cunt on Sky explaining how he's sticking with Dizzy, because Dizzy is focused on the issue with growth.
Funny, that this is the same cunt who championed the hardest possible Brexit, that made the UK toxic for inward investment, made the UK a hositle environment for EU workers, & tanked exports.....
CUNT!!!!!

One Tory MP just asked in the commons whether it was a confidence vote or not, and the answer from the minister was "I dunno"

Not surprised.
Once more a Tory Leader has marched their MPs up to the top of the hill, forced them to vote for a deeply unpopular measure, & then abandoned them, with a reverse ferret; but the MPs who voted as directed are still fucked with their constituents.

It is good to see the conservative party so corrupted by lies and dark money completely eat itself. With any luck people will now realise the papers instructing them to vote for these morons are wolfs in sheeps clothing.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 6:28 pmNot surprised.

The Mother of All Parliaments appears to be suffering from dementia.
Shit ... I need to pop out for a bottle of nice gin for this shitshow! Not sure I can survive Newsnight without some stiff G&Ts and some popcorn. If this wasn't directly resulting in thousands of poor folk, disabled folk and pensioners struggling in the cold and without heating and food it would almost be enjoyable. these bastards deserve all they get, cnuts of the lowest order.

If MPs were manhandled in the act of voting, that must be not just a suspension, & investigation in the Parliament; but in most Democracys, interferring with a Public Representative is a criminal offence, & carries a custodial sentance.
It's beyond shocking that anyone should think it acceptable outside of a tin pot Dictatorship
[Edit] Opposition should just go for it, & table a Confidence vote in the Government tomorrow. Fuck it, make the pricks vote for her & this shitshow, & have it on the record !!!

Kwasi Kwarteng, Boris Johnson, Priti Patel, Nadine Dorries, Theresa May all voted against the motion. Would be funny if Truss suspends them all to be fair. Like when Johnson sacked Gove as a last hurrah.
