Sounds like a belter of a game.....
I understand why some NH supporters don't want the SA teams in their competitions.

The Cheetahs not even in the URC, only play CC rugby, out of season, qualifies for the playoffs.

I can only imagine if the NH teams had to play in Osfontein.

Fucking dreadful attempt at a tackle. He's almost lucky that he was the one rocked backwards because that allows the ref to say 'low force/danger'.

On the plus side, good to hear another commentator/pundit continuing the recent trend that's starting to foist blame for all this onto players and coaches.

Sarries’ defence style - where they are up so close - doesn’t seem to be giving them enough time to dip for the tackle. And now they’ve given themselves two head injuries and two yellow cards.

Yup. And another one. I think they were quite lucky not to be down to 13 for the rest of the match...

And another one almost immediately afterwards. Sarries fortunate not to have two reds.

Fucking stupid cunts, both Sarries players deserve bans for the utter stupidity. Maybe thats the answer, high tackle of any sort with any head/neck contact, automatic red, no mitigation, not consideration of degree of danger, they just go. If thats what it takes to get it through their thick skulls, so be it.

Hamilton, the ex-Saracen, can fuck off saying this is 'uncharacteristic of Saracens' they're just as guilty of it as any team.

It's particularly fucking dim on their part when their captain is currently serving a ban for this nonsense.

We tried that and players and pundits moaned endlessly about red cards/empathy for players and we got this ridiculous mitigation system implemented.

Then clearly World Rugby are not serious about player safety.

Nothing creates focus better than teams losing games for things that are compleyely avoidable and can be coached out.

Poor passage of play by Edinburgh, fail to score, then penalty, free kick, knock on and penalty to bring Sarries back to within 4 points.

There've been a fair few sides who've failed to take advantage of two man advantage in recent times. An interesting little phenomenon.

How did Itoje escape a card there?

Told to leave it, he keeps his hands on the ball for about five seconds while Vellacott was trying to get it away

Stormers couldn’t score in 46 minutes against 13 LI kids last weekend. Players seem to try to kick the ball away into space where the carded player would have been instead of just playing Rugby. The space and tries will come if you’re patient.

One the one hand, Embra are being typically frustrating when it comes to taking opportunities. But on the other hand, Sarries are getting away with murder when defending their line.

It's all about quick ball and it you are being allowed to slow the ball down by several seconds at a time, it makes life a lot easier for the defending team.

Whatever about the flaws in the competition, & the farce of how many teams qualify; listen to the crowd tonight, & tell me, if you were a Pro players, you wouldn't want to be on the pitch tonight !

I think they did, think that's what Pyrgos was remonstrating about that he didn't have options and thought they at least needed the win which may have been jeopardizes
