Fme.....you lot need to reset.....do what I do....ignore any news of Covid....forget apps....take a break for your own sanity.
Coming to this thread is depressing.
Ok we are all mostly used to the masks now so thats just becoming second nature....but to obsess over stats and apps....thats a different level of extreme. Focus on yourself.
I hardly obsess or stress about it boet.
I check the stats about once a week if even that, and I have some alerts set up for when interesting discoveries are made; such vaccine progress or the mutation that has been discovered in Indonesia that is more contagious, but less harmful/deadly (which is a very news), or some news understanding of how the virus works and what it does. Other than that I hardly think about it.
I just go about my business and adhere to 4 rules:
1. Treat everybody I come into contact with as if they are a carrier
2. Keep my distance whenever possible
3. Avoid crowds and crowded spaces whenever possible
4. Wash my hands regularly
Level 3 was frustrating, but right now my only real inconvenience is the lack of air travel, While it is allowed, I'll still not use it unless I absolutely
have to.
And socials with friends, family and co-workers are smaller, outdoor affairs...where everybody takes precautions as much as possible without it being too inconvenient.
