Santé in tears poor kid
Conversion was too much. Been better if his foot was in touch and they went back to the penalty.

Edit. Anyway, he’s Italian. Equivalent of an English guy saying, “oh bother”.

Without an advantage that cross kick was a poor option.

Thought their entire pack was excellent bar a bit of white line fever when it really mattered. Hard to see this Fre side picking up another point.

Hey, it's nice to see traditional names - I think it's great. Going to be wonderful in the Calcutta Cup hearing Andrew Cotter's dulcet tones put the right Scottish spin on Steyn, Nel, van der Merwe, Schoeman, Tuipulotu, etc ;-)

I think we can both agree that ALL NAMES sound ridiculous when uttered by the weirdest commentator in rugby. I haven't missed Mark Robson. I'm convinced he's to blame for us bombing half our tries.

Giving them the ball with 90 seconds to go isn’t the greatest idea

I think they said half of the Scotland side will be in the U20s next year, so whilst that was ultimately disappointing, we have something to look forward to perhaps.

We are in the Trophy competition in South Africa this year, this squad should do okay.

Well i fully expect all the senior games to be as exciting as those.

27 - 44 FT

Score flatters Ireland a bit, as Wales were very good in patches, & light years better than last years contest.

- Edit: If you get a chance, catch the highlights, & Irelands 4th try

Found it there after searching for every combo of U20, Six Nations. Goodness knows why they didn't come up!

Sarries at least have the decency when selecting their age group sides to stick 'Berkhamsted School' next to half the side rather than making us guess

No issue with the names. Thought it was kinda wild so many of your back line looked like extras from a royal wedding tho ;)

And chapeau to your ten who missed a sitter in front of the post and then exchanged words with one of the Scottish pack (I assume our forward probably said ‘tough luck’ or similar). Then literally shrugged it off and nailed the next one. Kudos.

To be fair, I reckon I’d have kicked them both x

There is a good Oxfam bookshop in Berkhamsted, my sister and brother in law live nearby, I’ve picked up several rugby books from it.

I drove past the school one time when games were goong on, it looks like they have a fantastic rugby set up

It’s a lovely town and yes the school’s sporting set up full stop is pretty incredible. A great place to send your kid if they’re a half decent rugby player and you have £25k a year burning a hole in your pocket.

Well here we are chaps. Always surprised the excitement of the start of the tournament doesn’t diminish with age!

Enjoy everyone and see you on the other side.

So I’m taking it we are not doing match threads?

Just a 6N mega thread.

After the saga of last tournament

Think this will be an incredible 6N, looking forward to the tournament, less so England.

Trains in pieces so will start my day with a 4 mile walk to Watford Junction, then a couple of trains to Richmond. If once I make it to HQ Faz runs into Smith again or Youngs passes it straight into touch I will scream

Have a good day out.
Would be interested to know just how many empty seats you spot. I checked the RFU ticketing website on Thursday and there will still quite a lot of tickets available particularly in the Middle tier.
I can't ever recall a 6N match against any team except Italy not being a sell out way before match day
Sign of the times and the economic background I guess? Oh and the ridiculous pricing by the RFU

Yeah I got offered tickets from four different people (including two yesterday) which is a little unusual, mine came in just shy of £100 which is silly but not totally disgraceful. The bloke who offered them is (like you IIRC?) his club's ticket coordinator and he said they had always been oversubscribed for these games previously. I think it is performance + economy, if England were number 1 in the world they'd have sold them no problem IMO.

We were still well over-subscribed but the RFU wouldn't let us have more at the "affiliated club" pricing so I steered any members who were unlucky directly to the RFU ticket office!!!
