That try is an absolute aberration. Didn't need the angle behind to see his foot was in touch, and the pass to him is a mile forward.

Barnes missed that too - penalty try all day, and sexton missed that difficult conversionredderneck wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:12 pmImagine how amazing he’d be if he actually used his arms in tackles.

BBC crucifying Barnes for Lowe's non try. Not an evening up I grant because playing with 14 would have been curtains.Duff Paddy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:13 pm RTE crucifying Barnes for the yellow. The replay is textbook red. Barnes has been good overall but that was a shocker
ITV just showed a clear angle of the Lowe foot in touch.Duff Paddy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:13 pm RTE crucifying Barnes for the yellow. The replay is textbook red. Barnes has been good overall but that was a shocker

Yeah he might as well. The YC card is thievery. And Barnes needs to be stood down over that. When even Carley is gurning at you in disbelief, you know you’ve fcuked up.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:12 pmWayne hates our guts. Johnny needs to straight out call him a cunt
I actually believe it is deliberate. They are preparing the RWC and want to vary from the kick and chase that has been their trade mark for the last 3 years.

Irish commentators on Irish telly crucifying him for not sending a man off against Ireland...Duff Paddy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:13 pm RTE crucifying Barnes for the yellow. The replay is textbook red. Barnes has been good overall but that was a shocker

If it is a yellow i just don't get the rules. He even tucks his arm, no attempt to wrap. As clear a red as you will even see.
Really hope we beat them.
It wasn't in touch.RodneyRegis wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:14 pm That try is an absolute aberration. Didn't need the angle behind to see his foot was in touch, and the pass to him is a mile forward.
The final pass wanted a look I'll grant. Barnes made mistakes for both sides.

Take off the shamrock shades ffs. That was as close to a try as you'll ever see diving for the line.it wasn't the shove you almost always see, and he used both arms.Duff Paddy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:14 pmBarnes missed that too - penalty try all day, and sexton missed that difficult conversionredderneck wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:12 pmImagine how amazing he’d be if he actually used his arms in tackles.

Moot point - It was a penalty try regardless. No yellow card and Sexton missed the conversion so France got off lightly.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:14 pmBBC crucifying Barnes for Lowe's non try. That may be the case...but it was as clear a red as you will ever see. Something is wrong if there are camera angles available that don't get shown to the officials

Moment of calm reflection: worried about our kicking game. France will be quietly delighted to be so close, having scored only one try and down a man for ten mins rather than fifty-something.
Who gets first score of the half to win this methinks.

Honestly, I wouldn't have been angry at a red. But going by the Koroibete precedent, yellow also makes sense.shabadoo wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:17 pmThat may be the case...but it was as clear a red as you will ever see. Defo that. The Bernol expert panel after last week commented that Jalibert could do what he liked, he was never getting a starting berth.ASMO wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:13 pmI meant more undroppable, regardless of how poor he plays.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:11 pmFM, much as I think Farrell is not a FH, he actually is some margin better than Ntamack at it.
