I'm browsing wine websites; it dulls the pain.
I was browsing vintage rugby shirts. In contrast to this game.

Smith and Arundell get plenty of time to show what they can do.

Is that 5 tests and 5 touches for Arundell now?

That’s 6 losses in a row in the 6N for Wales.

Walker dodges the one cap wonder tag, and at least participates in a scrum.

Bizarre. My son in law bought an ES 345 yesterday. (I know nothing about it but he was excited)

The 345 might be a better guitar in fact, the electronics are different, more tones available.

Farrel is stinking out that England backline.

Probably the worst Wales team in decades and yet England still struggled.

How can Borthwick not see that England will win nothing with Farrell anywhere in that team. Same goes for Slade, dire. He created nothng, slow of hand and thought.

On the flipside, Steward was immense, Watson very good Malins (intercept aside) good, Lawrence solid.

I think the best that can be said about that is my prediction score is going to be bloody amazing after 2 matches.

I'm more concerned about his chin fluff and him only being given 20 seconds on the pitch even with Farrell having one of his crapper games.

Can't risk the lead by removing our inspirational leader of men. His replacement might miss a kick at goal, or give utterly predictable passes in midfield. If he's not stood ten metres behind the gainline to hoof an aimless kick to the oppo back three. Best limit the replacements to cameos. Just in case.

Far be it for me to suggest again that the WC rankings were done a tad too early, but those 2 are the top seeds in their groups

I’ve just remarked to a Welsh mate that it’s painfully like watching Scotland 10 years ago. Zero confidence, a lot of good work wasted by unforced errors or inability to retain the ball in contact. I mean this in sympathy- it was utterly shite, and I worry about how easily we might end up there again.
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Very much so.

The key difference is we had an equally shite Italy to play against - it doesn’t look like Wales will have that.

Interestingly (?) I think S4C said that Grady is the first Wales player to get his first Welsh cap in the 5N/6N since Howley in 199something. Is that credible?

I agree but let's be honest noone thinks Gats is taking this as a serious tournament he is using this as a trial series rotating players looking at new players and hopefully binning players like AWJ and 1/2 P.

Our half backs were terrible today.
Our attack was appalling.

Just as expected for an experimental team.

That game made my eyes bleed! Wales woeful, England better but little rugby from either team over the 80 mins. I dont think I saw a back move of note in the whole game - the Italians made more line breaks and created more chances against Ireland than both Wales and England did against each other combined. Dreadful game.

The match that almost never happened turned out to be a treat. England always held the edge of superiority, they looked far more like a proper rugby team than they ever did in the latter years of the dismal Eddie Jones reign, and the partnership of Owen Farrell and the competitive Ollie Lawrence in midfield gave them a splendid shape.

It was just as well because Farrell was to miss 11 points in all with his kicks at goal and, with players such as Louis Rees-Zammit around and with their two brand new and youthful centres showing striking promise, Wales could always find a way to break through in those times late on when the margin was only five points.
