That's beautiful from Gopperth.
Not sure that's how George intended the lineout to go.

Replay makes it look even worse. It's a running clothesline.
At least Atkinson's conscious .

He ended up walking off under his own steam, thankfully.Slick wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 1:10 pmGood to hear, had to leave just after the card was shownsockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 1:06 pm Replay makes it look even worse. It's a running clothesline.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the max ban is, but he's bloody earned it.ASMO wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 1:08 pmits verging on assault it was that badsockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 1:06 pm Replay makes it look even worse. It's a running clothesline.

That was nice. Willis the younger gets on the board.

Max 52 weeks, top end 10+ weeks, Farrell deserves at least the 10+.

It would be an absolute travesty if he didn't.Punter15 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 1:25 pmWhat’s the betting he won’t get it?ASMO wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 1:22 pm https://www.world.rugby/handbook/regula ... -1?lang=en

Wasps have been gritty as fuck this game. Our defensive attitude and appetite has transformed under Blackett.

True, but on paper this should have been very one -sided even allowing for a dip in performance from the home team.ASMO wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 1:29 pmto be fair Saracens were dire, i mean really dire, they are going to get smashed by Leinstersockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 1:27 pm 20 to send a message.

Denied them even a LBP :D
They were, but this was a Wasps 2nd XV, Sarries absolutely dominated the scrum too.ASMO wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 1:29 pmto be fair Saracens were dire, i mean really dire, they are going to get smashed by Leinstersockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 1:27 pm 20 to send a message.

Amazing NFL style quick throw from Marchant, covered more than half the width of the pitch.
No wonder Quins have gone so soft, they're living rent free in your head.
Gustard needs to start threatening players careers at the club if they're going to play like that. Some will never be good enough, others are past it and need to be moved on, and the rest need to learn that 20 minutes of effort is not enough.

All the advantages, no end product.
Looked like normal Quins service.
Just watched the Quins Bath game from yesterday
For a game that had around 70 points scored it was really average. It almost felt like it was rugby by numbers at times.
Took a replacement 9 to inject any real pace into the Quins play and Bath going down to 13 seemed to cause Quins to become the more disjointed of the two teams.
Not sure if it's an effect of trying to cram so many games into the time scale but the quality of the games I have watched hasn't been good.
I am sure there have been some crackers but they must be the exceptions.

It usually takes a few weeks for a season to get going normally, no surprise that we're seeing that again, especially when you add in all the squad rotation effects too.
Still get some crackers though, have to say I'm pleased Wasps have been a part of several of them.

Most teams have a number of games under their belts by now so they really should be up to pace.Raggs wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 9:23 am It usually takes a few weeks for a season to get going normally, no surprise that we're seeing that again, especially when you add in all the squad rotation effects too.

I am pleased to see Wasps getting their act together. Watched them a couple of times before the break and they were dreadful at times. Only seen half a game and a few highlights since the restart but the difference is very noticeable
I would be careful of trying to draw too many conclusions about the league in general from watching Quins. They've been largely shite since the restart, and have only a few excuses re: missing players - it's an attitude problem more than anything else.Magpie26 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 9:20 am Just watched the Quins Bath game from yesterday

There's probably been too many mismatches due to Covid but there's been a few good games in there.
So if we assume Farrell is unavailable for the Tests, who would people like to see line up at 12, and who do we think Eddie will pick?
Our options are somewhat limited when it comes to players Eddie knows, and lots of them are really 13s:
Piers Francis
Manu Tuilagi
Ollie Devoto
Fraser Dingwall
Henry Slade
Joe Marchant
how about people outside the squad? Sam James? Tom Hendrickson?

12 Tuilagi
13 Slade
I suspect.
Youngs still infesting the 9 shirt, too.
