The "Defiant Finger" Carina Nebula
I'm still waiting for a good movie poster or historical image for #Dumbkirk, but this made me LOL.
*hope all those boaters ended up safe ... though as a canoeist who's been rocked by motorboaters going above posted speed limits, seeing video of one going down and no one wearing life jackets* , my sympathy metre wasn't high.
(* with normal traffic, those waves don't look bad ... but those conditions created by huge wakes... everyone get your jackets on!)

I found the snow leopard but no copter
Almost dead centre, flying right to left. Looks like an Apache, but have never seen one painted camo. Google suggests Israel paints them, though.

It looks (now I can see it) like a Rooivalk. Note the air intakes:
I know Israel and SA have a relationship re weapons but this may be in South Africa
Well spotted! I see, now, that the canopy area rises at a greater angle than on the Apache.mat the expat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 12:45 pmIt looks (now I can see it) like a Rooivalk. Note the air intakes:

The originally posted photo is of a Rooivalk flying in front of the cable car station on Table Mountain.mat the expat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 12:45 pmIt looks (now I can see it) like a Rooivalk. Note the air intakes:
