Saffers are eliminated. Rightly so. As a Sharks supporter, Du Pont is a match winners on his own. I can see why he is so popular. Sharks gave their all. Not their day.
On behalf of the Stormers supporters. Where did that ref come from. The travel is bullshit. Can we please have Marius van der Westhuizen as one of our officials. At all our games.
Powell on the udder hand use the ref excuse.

Powell said the overturned try for Grant Williams was the turning point in the match. He didn't blame the officials....dude......clutching.
WP supporters are having a full go re the ref and the travel
BTW. Did you see Bosch's stats for the match.
14 carries....225 odd metres. Best in the tournament in a single match so far. And they weren't sideways
"Nevertheless, the guys put everything in, and showed tremendous fighting spirit. They played their hearts out. "
Have to agree with Powell

There was no overturned try. No try was scored as there was a forward pass.Sards wrote: ↑Mon Apr 10, 2023 6:07 pmDid you actually read the article....OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Mon Apr 10, 2023 5:58 pmDobson refuse to use the travel or ref as an excuse.Sards wrote: ↑Mon Apr 10, 2023 4:52 pm Congratulations to all the winners this weekend.

I am still trying to understand how that statement qualifies as whinging about the ref...according to ouboet.
Yeah, it's an unworkable suggestion. Obviously the tournament is uniquely set up in hundreds - nay, thousands - of ways to allow Leinster the best chance of victory, but these things have to be booked a long time in advance.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 10:56 am https://www.balls.ie/rugby/former-engla ... ing-549675
Ha Ha. BCM talking bollox as usual. No highly ranked team should get rewarded and if the team is based near the stadium that the final is in it should be moved with all the associated costs and problems. Good man Brian
Er, no.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 6:44 pm100% correct. They hung o to us last year when we played all the rugby and then sucker punch. Very little was made of how limited they were as people were delighted we lost but they just hang on for dear life and wear you down. They are very difficult to watchCM11 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 3:26 pmLa Rochelle are annoying enough to stay in any game. Could be facile about it and point to the try count but fact is they sent that ball to the wider channels all first half looking for ground. Often working far harder than you'd expect given Leinster's excellent defence, just the Rhule try to show for it.
Were indeed hanging on from 55mins but then Leinster fluffed their lines and LaR finished on top. Both sides played plenty of rugby, it was a decent final.
Won't disagree on the weekend just gone though, both sides were dogshit.

They'll need the extra revenue from somewhere to continue funding their dire player purchases plus paying next season's 4 managers' early termination costs.
Fair enough I guess, but I've seen that €75 figure bandied about several places as the cheapest ticket price. I assume your a season ticket holder - did you get early availability and if so how much were they then?
I understand different venues may have different costs involved, but that sizeable a difference is just fucking abhorrent gouging!

Rugby remains wayyyy cheaper to watch in France than most other places. And perhaps that helps explain the better attendances.

I'm calling you on that one. No way it's that price unless it's a big game at Barca or Real.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 10:12 am That's not gouging you scabby arsed fucker. It's a semi final against Toulouse. 100 quid should be the cheapest to stop the wastrals getting in. I just brought the young lad to a football, spit, match in Spain and the tickets were nearly 200 quid each for bog standard seats. The Spics understand you have to pay cash dollars to see all that sweet sweet winningness
Anyway, could this be the most constrasting set of matchups we've had in the semi finals? Leinstertainment vs the offload kings. Exeter (South West) vs Exeter (very South). Maybe the first match will be a pick and go grindfest and the second will be Bristanbul revisited! Unlikely, though.
Yeah, I'd seen that 75 shouted around, but understand that they are sold out of the cheap tickets and thats whats leftPornDog wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 10:04 amFair enough I guess, but I've seen that €75 figure bandied about several places as the cheapest ticket price. Surely Exeter (very South) v Exeter (South West)? LaR is the "home" team.JM2K6 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 10:23 am Anyway, could this be the most constrasting set of matchups we've had in the semi finals? Leinstertainment vs the offload kings. My dad and I once rocked up at Anfield on the way back from a trip to the Lake District, wandered into a pub, and got 2 tickets for a Champions League match that night against Bayer Laverkusen at £30 each because they were in the German end. My dad was a fluent German speaker anyway and I'd been to more German football matches than English ones at that point. Not sure you could get away with that these days.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 10:25 amThey see an average of 80k to 90k coming most weeks. Sure they have 83k season ticket holders. Granted x number of those go on the resale market. The rest are tourists getting a gander. Point is 75 quid to watch a semi final of the champions Cup is a steal
Liverpool won 1-0, all the Liverpool fans were crowing, both of us knew they'd get humped in the return leg. 4-2. Very satisfying.
Yeah but I figured the slowcoaches would get confused if I didn't set the joke up as obviously as possible.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 10:38 amSurely Exeter (very South) v Exeter (South West)? Not actually a season ticket holder this year, just wasn't getting to the games.PornDog wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 10:04 amFair enough I guess, but I've seen that €75 figure bandied about several places as the cheapest ticket price. I looked at tickets a week ago and cheapest was €55. Not sure if there was cheaper.
Well currently the €75 ones are the nosebleed seats in the corners, which are usually the cheapest, so not sure where the €55 ones were? Or are they doing some manner of progressive pricing shite like the airlines do?CM11 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 11:49 amNot actually a season ticket holder this year, just wasn't getting to the games.PornDog wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 10:04 amFair enough I guess, but I've seen that €75 figure bandied about several places as the cheapest ticket price. Pricing of the SF tickets is decided by EuroSpivRugby, not the IRFU, Leinster or the Aviva Stadium.PornDog wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 10:04 amFair enough I guess, but I've seen that €75 figure bandied about several places as the cheapest ticket price. Mockers baiting only works if you have skin in the game.
Leinster will win though.

Leo, Stu & team deserve that 5th star for their efforts, & the players play a consistently brilliant, & attractive brand of Rugby.
They certainly won't walk it but will win comfortably by 12 points
La Rochelle on the other hand could walk their match against Exeter and should win by at least 19
Well, that's what I've tipped on Superbru
