He turned up on the Samoa Observer letters to the editor section a few times over the years. Seemed to be a fan of tier2/3 rugby.

Never interacted with him as he was before my time but I get the feeling you could be at some remote pub in Kazakhstan catching the only TV showing a rugby match in Central Asia and this fulla would be there in the corner.

He would certainly like you to believe he was there, he probably even believed it himself at times.

He returned to the T2Rugby forum after his earlier 'Rowan' banning as "Edgar" and kept rational, but his posts were mostly C&Ps from news and blogs, plus his usual repeat arguments he'd been banging on about for ever. He was actually restricted to two posts per day to stop him spamming the board.

Really? Haast Eagle seems to have posted amusing maps, 80s TV theme tunes & sci fi films, with a smattering of NZ rugby trivia. Style is friendly and light hearted. No obsession with tier 4 games or World Rugby doing down the underdog or Western Imperialism. If it was him he's changed a lot.

Looking at his FB page, he churned out several posts or retweets per day about Israeli human rights abuses - there is no way he could restrain himself from posting about that in a forum ( as he did on the T2Rugby forum).

Also last few posts (last one 3rd Sept) show he seemed to be positive about things so I have doubts about the suicide theory.

that account made 9 posts and 3 of those things relate very much to him like how he ends sentences with fullstops, his obsessions with maps and most of all his pro-russian stance, as i said, i can't check on the other bored but he probably was pretty active there as well..
