And in other newsOomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 10:18 am Nog n Vrystater. Sharks playing on a lower level, only CC teams prepare to go there.
After winning the under 20 competition the Sharks are leading the under 19 tournament after beating WP , second placed, last weekend.
Building on its youth rugby. Sharks are steadily ensuring a dynamic future for the union.

No Springboks. Just players that want to make a name for themselves and play for a dynamic inion

Ok
I could say that you are not interested in youth rugby and Currie Cup because WP aren't thereOomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Thu Jan 01, 1970 3:26 am

This weekend WP has the Pumas and Griquas have the whipping boys the Griffons.
WP is going to get knocked out of 4th spot by Griquas.

I'm happy with the 4 new Sharks poache... I mean signings.
Ig Prinsloo -26 yo tighthead from the Pumas. Listed at 139kg although I have seen reports that he's around 125kg.
Diego Appollis - 22 yo centre from the Pumas. He looks really useful. RJVR and Francois Venter have been disappointing signings. Hope they can overcome injuries and add some value this year.
Siya Masuku - 26 yo flyhalf from Free State. - Not entirely convinced by this one. At least we can properly claim him because he's from Paulpiet.
George Cronje - 22yo flank from Free State - Exciting player. Backrow has been a meh area for us for a while.
Kind thanks to Pumas and Free State for the talent! You're welcome to Hyron Andrews, Curwin Bosch, Gerbrandt Grobler and Cameron Wright if you want them.

And Aphelele Fassi of course. But you chose to keep him. Thank goodness, he almost came our way.FalseBayFC wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 6:24 am I'm happy with the 4 new Sharks poache... I mean signings.

Plumtree will get the most out of Fassi. Weekend Special is going to blow them all away next season.
They change the schedule so often I don't think anybody knows when you win it.

Use to be in October. The one we won in 2005 was on the weekend after my Birthday. I partied like there was no tomorrow.

Ja there must have been a band meeting a few years ago.LoveOfTheGame wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2023 10:28 am Never given it some thought, but only realised how many ex-Sharkies are playing for them. Coenie, Akker, Rob and the twins.
And we got Rohan from there too.

Coenie and Vincent Koch bring some serious front row brains trust to the Sharks. I'm pretty sure Koch has a decent future as a scrum coach. We have some tidy young props and having two stalwarts like this should really add value. Pity we have Hyron Andrews and Gerbrandt Grobler in the engine room. I'd love a monster lock or two to be signed. Eben is great but is never going to be enough considering his Bok commitments.

At this rate I'm expecting Bismark, Frans and Coetzee back
Jannie, Daniel and Pienaar to be hauled out of retirement
