Good move on your part. If someone was trying to get my 80 something Mum to go to a wedding they would get a proper earful from me, and that would before I let my sisters loose on them.
Blimey.
For the few of us who are not rattling around in your mind nor reside in your local bubble, would you be able to you explain what you are talking about? For instance, what sort of passports and why are they bad?Bimbowomxn wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 5:54 pm Well the UK government have now gone officially insane. And for the first time “passports”.

His wife to be (6 months pregnant) and him have just returned from a holiday to France with 10 mates. They all decided to get a test the day after they got back and have all gone back to work etc with no quarantine. Her mother has just announced she is going to Turkey tomorrow and will have a test when she gets back so all will be OK.
Anyway, they were a bit upset last night at the new restrictions and he came out with a great line “these rules are not really for us anyway”. Just doesn’t get that they can pass it on it seems.
I pointed out that 2 guests were in their 80’s (one with cancer) two 75 (one had a stroke last year) and a couple of others in their 70’s - “the chances we have it are pretty small”

Boris yesterday stated it will be great when we can all start our day with a test. He also mentioned passports for being covid free.
It’s clear what’s in my head if you listen to the referenced press conference.
The idea of testing 66 million people every day for the virus is f ucking lunacy. The idea that we will need to carry our “covid status” with us to operate in society is f ucking lunacy.
So Moneyshot(TM) is going to be a £100Bn handout to friends and donors in another failed pie in the sky "project""This is technology that requires further development".
Transport Sec @grantshapps admits there isn't yet a "certified COVID test in the world" that gives results in minutes as the government's 'Operation Moonshot' programme hopes to do.

What referenced press conference, or alternatively, where did you reference it?
And yes, it seems like a covid-free passport is a tad silly without having any way of constantly and consistently proving that status. Perhaps once an affective vaccine is available, to enable the anti's to be segregated out and kept away from anyone that can't be vaccinated.

Un Pilier wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 11:28 am The thing that struck me most about the “briefing” was that it’s first objective was to simplify core messages, and at the outset that was looking as if it was going to be achieved, thanks mainly to Chris Whitty. Boris added a soupçon of potential confusion along the way, particularly with speculative stuff about the “moonshot” (wtf!). Then the questions, or more pertinently the answers. 90 percent bumbling waffle that undid much of the earlier good work. Appalling. Infuriating.

Don't worry, he has a deputy
He’s always looking for attention. He thinks his trolling is funny, sitting at home alone. He won’t catch it as he’s permanently home alone and he doesn’t actually care if other people die, he thinks that’s funny too.Slick wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 11:49 amHave you been banned from PR again or are you bouncing between boreds looking for attention?Bimbowomxn wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 11:33 am

Thankfully I only see his idiocy now when other people reply to him. I’d generally rather they didn’t as he wanders away if you don’t engage with him.
Look, idiot, this may come as a surprise as you spend your life glued to a phone on chat forums, but it also has wider implications. Like we now can't go an see my mum, who we haven't seen for weeks, as planned because the cunts arn't following advice. Not to mention the fact that cunts not following advice is why the government is now retreating on the freedoms you want. Outside of your really odd little bubble, actions have consequences.Oh, and Slick, just shield the old and the sick and have the bloody wedding you bed wetters.
